- The interaction with seniors - Seniors here are very supportive and give good advice about everything.
- Sports facility - The facilities, equipment, people, time to time competition makes it all worth it.
- Campus area - The campus is area is filled with greenery and makes living here very natural and healthy.
Dislikes
- Insects - due to the nearby lake and national park there are many insects.
- Lack of canteen near hostels, most of the canteens are night canteens.
- The lecture halls is too far away from the hostels.
Course Curriculum Overview
I choose Mechanical as I have genuine interset in cars and wanted to see how the process goes in buliding and repairing one. In the first year everyone has same courses so the faculty:student ratio is not so good that can be a single teacher teaching 100-200 students once. The faculty has some very good qualifications everyone phd with good amout of patents and done there grad in good uni's like MIT, Harvad. The teaching is good and understandable if put some attention as the courses typically new and harder the students don't get in their first try so the teacher are good in understanding that and providing extra help. Mid sem was after 1.5 months after the cousre started and end sem in 3-3.5 months. difficulty to pass is medium.
Internships Opportunities
In my core branch companies like mercedes, jaguar, tata give internships opportunity to students give stipend around 1lpm. In the non core many IT companies come and give huge stipend to students like in quant finance students got 10lpm+ .
Placement Experience
After 6 semester students become eligible for campus placements. Many famous companies come and make offers on students total of 332 companies came in year 2022 and made 1878 offers out of which 1441 were accepted. Highest package was 2.1 cr per annum international and 1.4 cr per annum domestic and the average package was 21.5 lpa. 89% of students were placed that year. My plans after getting the degree is to get a campus placement in a non core company.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fee structure is 1.24 lakh per sem. It cost you approx 10-12 lakh for whole college tenure. You get many scholarship like if you belong to general and obc category and your family income is less than 1 lakh then you will get full fees wavier, if your family income is less than 5 lakh you will 2/3 fees wavier. If you belong to Sc and St category you will get full fees wavier independent of family income but only tution fess is exempted, you have to pay the mess and hostel fees. Of course you can take loan which can support you to pay your college fess.This loan is intreset free till you get graduated.
Campus Life
The annual fest is MoodIndigo which is the largest college fest in Asia. The tech fest is TechFest which also is the one of largest tech fest in asia. Both are held in month of December. In the centralised librabry every typr of books are available and branch specific libraries are in department building in some departments. All classrooms are air conditioned and smart with mic-speaker and projectors.
Hostel Facilities
The room have good faclities and have plenty of ample space, fan, light, cupboard and a bed to finish. Meal quality is pretty good and menu is vast, each day breakfast and snacks are different. In lunch and dinner rice dal is fix and sabzi changes time to time. Registrtion process for hostel and affordability is quite easy, after you are admited to the college you pay the hostel mess fees through SMA portal and its done.
Admission
Eligibility of the course is above 75% in 12th and a rank between 493-1736 in JEE Advance as per 2023 counselling.
