The starting curriculum is almost the syllabus of 11th and 12th and afterwards is higher studies. In 1st and 2nd semesters base for the student is built. In further semesters higher studies are taught. The faculty is very qualified and trained. Exams are conducted every 6 months. The teaching methods of some faculty members are basic but some are enthusiastic and want to teach in an innovative way. Clearing an exam is not that much easy task.
Fees and Financial Aid
In every year of graduation, fees are reduced and the cost of living near campus is neither cheap nor expensive. Many students get government scholarships to study. The college has its own placement cell which provides placement and internship opportunities and the highest package was 22 lakhs per annum.
Campus Life
The annual cultural fest of Shivaji College is very good and one of the best fest in the whole university. Sports activities are conducted in college but not much awareness is spread about those competitions. The new building is very good with very good features but the old building is not much good. The library is one of the best in the whole university. The society of the college is mostly active and conducts many activities.
