Course Curriculum Overview
I chose Chemical Engineering in Haldia Institute of Technology (HIT) over any other colleges because Chemical Engineering in HIT is the oldest and most popular branch among the students. This college is located in the industrial city - Haldia, so along with this course college offers a wide variety of internships and placements to those industries.Talking about the facilities of chemical engineering department is absolutely great, they're well trained and very experienced
Internships Opportunities
Various companies offered internships to our students. Mostly these are no stripned based internships. But after qualifying a certain level of knowledge college provides stripned based internships. College is absolutely great in terms of placements and internships.
Placement Experience
From 5th semester students are eligible for industrial internship and from 7 th semester college provides placement to all students and till the end of the 8th semester mostly students get palaced. Till the date total 356 companies (IT, Core) have visited our campus. 92 % students every year get placed.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees structure is good according to me, the average fees is 50k per year. There are several scholarships programs, available for poor economical background students. College accepts all kinds of verified scholarships( if the student is eligible for the scholarship). College also offers some cutoffs in the fees of the student, if the student pass the previous year with a cgpa of 9 and above.
Campus Life
Our College arranges a tech fest every year, name Prayukti and a annual fest, name Riviera together in the month of January- February. Plenty amount of books are available in the library, research papers of IIT and other foreign institutes are also available in the library. Classrooms are equipped with modern teaching amenities (smart board, projector etc.) College also arranges annual sports every year. Talking about clubs.. yes our college has various types of clubs for social purposes, many NGO's which is runed by students and passout seniors.
Admission
Eligibility of the course is - The student should be must qualified JEE or WBJEE. After qualifying JEE or WBJEE there will be application forms will be available offline in the college administration section. There is a reservation quota available in our college, called TFW (Tution Fees Waiver), you have to opt for that option while filling up WBJEE application form.
