The campus is really beautiful with lots of trees.
There is a big library with a wide variety of books

Dislikes

College is in a remote area and buses are very less to this place
Tution fees are increased every year.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course is of 4 years. First year we have pure basics including physics and chemistry. second and third year is more course-oriented. Last year, it included more elective subjects. There are enough faculties in the department who are well-qualified and talented.

Class Size: 61Course Fees: INR 41185 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee for a year is 41150 for merit. For management it is 75kand for NRI quota it is above 1 lakh. There are several scholarships available like egrants for those who scored a neat score in 12th. There is also a fee waiver for SC and ST category students.

Campus Life

The campus is live most time. There is a tech fest named Quasso Liberum conducted every year. Several programs of college band and programs by college union will be there weekly. Matches of games like cricket football and like wise games are conducted.

Admission

The admission was taken based on the Kerala entrance( keam ) rank. The approximate cut-off rank for the College of engineering vadakara was 40000. The eligibility for the course is based on the 12th marks and entrance marks. we can apply through the website of keam portal. The application fee and details are available on this portal.

OUR COLLEGE LIFE

Placement Experience:

we are eligible for placement from the 7th sem. Many famous and small compines vist our college. Infosys, WIPRO, TCS vist our college. But the big companies take only few student. Highest package was 1,00,000. And the average package is around 4,00,000. Almost all students gets placed from the campus .

My Experience at NIT Calicut

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the EEE course curriculum around 8-8.5 /10 in terms of relevance.The curriculum provides strong fundamentals in core electrical engineering subjects and prepares students well for core jobs and higher studies.The course curriculum was revised in 2023, and our batch is the 1st batch under the new curriculum. however, there are still limited coding ,AI and data science subjects in EEE ,which could be improved. Exams are conducted times per semester and are generally moderately difficult.

Course Curriculum Overview:

the course curriculum is lakhs relevance to modern industry demands. while it covers the basics there is minimum focus on practical skills emerging technologies and real world applications overall, the courses not comprehensive enough.

Is engineering here worth it?

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible from 7th semester to sit for interviews. The pod.ai app helps us in making the resume and calculating a cgpa to appear for the intwrviews. The pod.ai registration fees is 500?. Companies such as nissan,infosys,commandtech,bimlabs,gulfasia etc has visited . And the highest package was 11 LPA and lowest was 3 LPA

I got into this college through KEAM entrance exam.For KEAM you need to have 50% or above percentage in +2.For qualifying KEAM you need atmost 10 marks.If you have qualified KEAM you can go through allotment process and apply for your favourable colleges.i got around 40k rank in KEAM and applied to many colleges for CS and IT.
