The college is really strict. It could be less strict.
The college does not allow students to do more non-curricular activities like participating in other college's technical events.
The college does not have provision to allow students to attend internships for long periods

Course Curriculum Overview

I chose this course because I had a passion for coding and developing web apps and also because a career in this field had been a dream. The faculty-to-student ratio is 60:5. That is, 5 teachers for every 60 students or one teacher for every 15 students. Minimum qualification for the faculty is a PhD. The teaching method is really student-friendly and understandable. The term exams were completed right on schedule within the time limit but the exams were moderately difficult and not really easy to pass.

Class Size: 63Course Fees: INR 90000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

When I joined this college, the fee was 45000 per semester. Now the fee is 60,000 per semester. The fee hike depends on the running trends but it remains the same for a student when joining till the end. I did not receive any scholarship as I was not eligible. Currently, I am in my fourth year and placed in UST with a package of 4.25 LPA through campus placement.

Campus Life

The campus life is pretty much enjoyable. There are a wide variety of events both technical and non-technical. The annual college fest is Tharang which is the second-best technical event in Kerala after NIT Calicut. The central library has a wide variety of books on various aspects and there are separate libraries for each department.

Admission

Eligibility is a Student who has passed higher secondary with more than 60% marks in physics, chemistry and maths combined. Also, should qualify for KEAM. The application form, fees and dates can be found on the college site:www.jecc.ac.in There will be a reduction in fees for SC and ST and also based on the student's KEAM score and Plus two marks. The details are available on the college site. The cut-off is 30000(KEAM rank)

Placement Experience:

we are eligible for placement from the 7th sem. Many famous and small compines vist our college. Infosys, WIPRO, TCS vist our college. But the big companies take only few student. Highest package was 1,00,000. And the average package is around 4,00,000. Almost all students gets placed from the campus .

My Experience at NIT Calicut

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the EEE course curriculum around 8-8.5 /10 in terms of relevance.The curriculum provides strong fundamentals in core electrical engineering subjects and prepares students well for core jobs and higher studies.The course curriculum was revised in 2023, and our batch is the 1st batch under the new curriculum. however, there are still limited coding ,AI and data science subjects in EEE ,which could be improved. Exams are conducted times per semester and are generally moderately difficult.

Is engineering here worth it?

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible from 7th semester to sit for interviews. The pod.ai app helps us in making the resume and calculating a cgpa to appear for the intwrviews. The pod.ai registration fees is 500?. Companies such as nissan,infosys,commandtech,bimlabs,gulfasia etc has visited . And the highest package was 11 LPA and lowest was 3 LPA

If you want to be in a controlled environment, focus on academics, make use of some good placement opportunities, and get somewhere career-wise I would be suggesting Amrita University.

I have only applied to this college. One of my friend who was studying in this college suggested me this college. Because of my KEAM mark, I didn't get other government colleges for CSE. JECC is not for the weak.

As my college doesn't promote any festivals or celebrations its top most priority is to provide quality education to their students. I got many reviews from my school teachers and seniors about this college and decided to join. The admission process is very simple. Good Campus and enjoyed the time in there.

We had a common exam for the admissions. And the rank in the exam determines which college we get to study. I was trying to get into the government college. But didn't had enough rank to get the set. This i got into Jyothi engineering college Thrissur according to my rank. Couldn't apply to other colleges because the system works like that. If we get any college we should join there. The real review

Actually when I was writing my boards I paid 10000 and they asked me to block myself a seat. They kept two conditions two score above 85 percentage in 12th and keam should be qualified.i happened to get both so after that I went back to college they gave me a check list of documents to bring for registration. I bought those they registered me in.
