Eligibility of the course is plus two. There is an entrance exam for the students eligible for the course. There are management seats. There are merit seats. Application forms, application fees, and application dates could be obtained from the KTU site. No need for any improvement in the admission process.

The course curriculum is interesting. Faculty members are professional and friendly. I always wanted to be an engineer so that's why I chose the course. There was some difficulty with exams. The exams occurred in impressive punctuality.

I have had the opportunity to explore various internships offered by the college, and I must say, the experience has been incredible. The college offers a wide range of internships in different fields, catering to the diverse interests of students.

Placement Experience

The college does offer campus placement to students. Students who pass the exam are eligible for campus placements. There are several companies who visit the college. Companies like Infosys visit the college for eligible students.

Fees and Financial Aid

The annual fee is 35000. For merit students, the fee is like 35000. The fees are affordable. For management, the fee is 5 lakhs. And also there were several scholarships in the college that students could find helpful and useful.

Campus Life

The campus life is fun and interesting. My college mates are friendly and understanding. The tech fest/art fest. Student organizations like IEEE, IEDC, FOSS club, Tinker Hub, etc. The library is vast and it wouldn't be so hard to find the desired book you want. There are sports, NSS, etc.

Hostel Facilities

The hostel Life is fun. I got so many friends. The food is good. Hostel is literally my comfort zone. I could focus more on my studies here. The warden is friendly and understanding. It is also really affordable.

Placement Experience:

we are eligible for placement from the 7th sem. Many famous and small compines vist our college. Infosys, WIPRO, TCS vist our college. But the big companies take only few student. Highest package was 1,00,000. And the average package is around 4,00,000. Almost all students gets placed from the campus .

My Experience at NIT Calicut

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the EEE course curriculum around 8-8.5 /10 in terms of relevance.The curriculum provides strong fundamentals in core electrical engineering subjects and prepares students well for core jobs and higher studies.The course curriculum was revised in 2023, and our batch is the 1st batch under the new curriculum. however, there are still limited coding ,AI and data science subjects in EEE ,which could be improved. Exams are conducted times per semester and are generally moderately difficult.

Is engineering here worth it?

Students are eligible from 7th semester to sit for interviews. The pod.ai app helps us in making the resume and calculating a cgpa to appear for the intwrviews. The pod.ai registration fees is 500?. Companies such as nissan,infosys,commandtech,bimlabs,gulfasia etc has visited . And the highest package was 11 LPA and lowest was 3 LPA

My college is pretty amazing especially the environment and the beauty of it is on a different level i find it very adaptable for any student from any background moreover there are many extracurricular activities that you can participate and be part of. There is an entrance exam conducted by the central college for admission on merit. The eligibility for this entrance exam is +2 or equivalent. The application after the exam is submitted online or else you can complete it through government Engineering colleges.
