Course Curriculum Overview
I have interest in coding and my diploma was too in cse. There are quite big classrooms and teachers are provided with mic and digital board to teach. Teacher student Ratio is approx 1:150. All the faculty are highly qualified and award winning. Exams are held twice a semester eith good standard of questions. A student can score good only with consistency in study.
Internships Opportunities
Companies provide good stipend based oppertunities to students. college itself also provide some projects to interested students and also provide a platform to students to compete themselves. it participate in inter college competitions.
Placement Experience
from 3rd year, companies start visiting college to provide students internship oppertunities. every big company visit college. for example for computer engineering students, companies like microsoft, amazon, deloitte which provide number of offers and oppertunites to students. 70% of students are getting placed in this college. every talent and skill is recognised here.
Fees and Financial Aid
Talking about fee structure, fee structure is quite high in thapar as compared to other colleges. But considering one of the demanding college for the field of engineering, and with the packages it can provide, it cam worth investing. It provide some scholarships and financial support to the students on the basis of merit and family condition. It has many criteria based on which students are selected for the scholarship. Going through various steps and submitting relevant documents, a student can have scholarship.
Campus Life
The annual fest and tech fest at Thapar is named Saturnalia. It is conducted in the month of November. Different types of cultural and technical events are organised by the team. various competitions are organised and cash prizes and other rewards are kept in order to have more participation among students. Thapar has one the best liberary which is 5 floor big and has infinite number of books in order to maintain a book reader inside students. keeping in mind the variation in interest and categories, different and all types of books are kept and the liberay is all digital. procedure of issueing and maintiaining record is all digitalised.
Admission
My admission was through leet. Therefore, my degree is a 3yr program. No entrance exam was there. Eligibility was to have 3yr diploma in required field. Admission form would be available on its website thapar.edu
