Course Curriculum Overview

I chose this course because I am inclined towards both business and technology. So this is like the perfect opportunity for me. A single batch has around 60 students, and faculty members of different expertise teach their respective subjects. The teaching method is great and the members are extremely qualified. Term exams happen twice a year and are fairly easy if you pay attention in classes.

Placement Experience

Students become eligible for placements from the 7th semester. Not a lot of companies have visited due to recession this year. The highest package was of 10LPA offered by Tejas Networks, it took 5 students. As of now, percentage of placement is less. I want to get placed.

Fees and Financial Aid

Each semester fees are around 50000. There is no as such fees hike policy. I did not avail any scholarship, financial assistance or campus job. However there are opportunities by the government that the students can obtain

Campus Life

I have not seen this college conduct a fest or freshers after 2020. So if you want to join expecting any of those, you might get disappointed. The library has a great collection of books and journals. The classrooms are big and spacious and have modern technical amenities like a projector screen. Sports facilities are great and we have an annual intra college sports week. There are a lot of clubs for drama, dance, music, poetry, technology, etc that students run

Admission

I got admission to this college with the help of my WBJEE rank. I got admitted in the Computer Science and Business Systems branch in the year 2020, from the WBJEE counselling only. I have a home-state quota and a girl child quota, and you could get into this stream if you have a rank under 10000 in WBJEE as of 2020. After the WBJEE counselling, I locked my seat and paid for my admission.

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.
