VIT AP in a nutshell

Considering my rank in EAPCET i've decided to choose this course. The course and curriculum are quite good. The curriculum offers a great experience and makes students industry ready. The faculty are also quite good and they are well experienced too. Some of the faculty might not teach upto the mark but VIT AP is comparitively better than any other universities or colleges in Andhra Pradesh. There will be 2 CAT and 1 FAT examinations in a semester. CAT are generally mid term examinations and FAT is end sem examination. The difficulty of exams would be mostly easy to moderate and difficult sometimes. It depends on your preparation for the examinations.

Internship offers are also provided for the students. Students can even work under the professors as interns. Through clubs such as CSI one can do internship but stipend is not provided. Oncampus internship offers are quite low but one can acquire internship through one's skills.

Placements are quite good in VIT AP. Many mnc's and top companies visit campus for placements. This year around 237 on campus offers were made. Highest package is 27 lpa. Above 10lpa 147 offers and 77 offers above 6lpa. This year placements are not upto the mark but comparitively better than any other college in AP. Companies like Nokia,Ford and others visited campus for placements. Placements probably start from the 1st semester of final year and last year long.

The fee structure depends on mode of admission. It starts from 2L per year and increases gradually upon category for students who have been admitted through VITEEE and it is around 75k per year for students who have admitted through EAPCET. Hostel and mess fee depends on the room and menu type. Hostel+mess fee ranges from 1.5L to 2.5L per year. For some eligible students AP govt provides full fee reimbursement.

VIT AP gives a good campus life. An annual fest named VITOPIA and a technical fest named VTAPP were conducted every year. VIT AP also have wide range of clubs. There will be events on every saturday , conducted by clubs. Library facility is also available. Library is quite big and offers great capacity. Wifi facility is there in classrooms and university also gives great lab experience. Playground is available for outdoor games and facility of indoor games is also available. If you are a person intrested in extracurricular activities then you wont get dissapointed. The only problem is sometimes event timings get clash with class timings.

Hostels are quite good in VIT AP. Hostel fee depends upon the room type you are choosing and mess contains three categories i.e veg,non veg & special. AC hostels are also available. 24/7 free wifi facility is provided in hostels. Hostels are quite hygiene. The quatility of mess food is good and the taste could be better. Menu consists of both north and south variety of foods. Hostel+mess fee ranges from 1.5L to 2.5L per year. Gym facility is also availabe in hostel.

There are various modes of admissions to get admittted in VIT AP university. VIT AP also offers general degree courses and various other courses as well. The common mode of admission is through VITEEE. Few seats are filled through AP state common entrance exam (EAPCET) as well. I've been admitted into this university through EAPCET. Around 1200+ seats (includind all courses) are filled through EAPCET. I'm pursuing (Btech+Mtech) Integrated , software engeneering in this university. My EAPCET rank is 9444(open category). EAPCET cutoff for Btech courses will be around 6000(open category) for CSE and around 8000(open category) for ECE. Reservation benefits are avilable in EAPCET counselling.
