The campus beauty is excellent and looks like a tourist spot

Course Curriculum Overview

I choosed CSE because I have interest in doing programming and app development . The faculty :student ratio is around 1:10 in NIT Hamirpur. Most of the teachers here have pursued atleast PHD/Mtech in IITS .it is easy to pass in exams but a little difficult to get a good cgpa

There will be various companies coming for the internship for 3rd and 4th year students here and all the companies are recognised and well known . More than 50 percents students get internships offers from the companies

Placement Experience

I am pursuing CSE in NIT Hamirpur and the average package of the year 2023 is 18lakh and the highest package was 1.73 CR talking about overall placement the average package will be around 8-10 lakh . More than 85% students get placed and almost 100% placed in CSE

Fees and Financial Aid

The tution fees for sc/st/pwd/ews(income less than 100000) is zero and for the students whose family income is between 100000-500000 the fees will be 33% . Talking about scholarships they are various scholarships for sc/st/pwd called as NSP and for ews students the scholarship is FFE

Campus Life

There will be 2 fests in our college a year called hill fair (annual fest ) and a technical fest . Annual fest will be conducted in October and technical fest in February. There are a lot of books in library and easy to find . There is cricket ground,basketball ,volleyball ,badminton courts and many other games

Hostel Facilities

The hostel rooms are good .they have a table,bed , chair and almira. The mess food in 1st year boys hostel is average because of less varieties and difficult for South Indian students to adjust . Hostel registration might only take 30-40 minutes and almost everyone can afford

Admission

We need to write jee mains and need to qualify to apply for NIT Hamirpur .the application form will be in the NTA website and if we talk about reservation benefits there will be higher priority for PWD,ST,SC,OBC,EWS respectively and for general category students there will be no special reservation and there will be separate reservation for FEMALE students . Now let's come to fees structure the academic fees for SC/ST/PWD students will be zero and only hostel and mess fees should be paid if applicable and for the students whose annual income is less than 10000 rupees per year the fees structure will be same as SC/ST/PWD students and for the students whose family income is in between 100000 to 500000 rupees they should pay 33 percent of tution fees and for students whose family income more than 500000 they should pay full tution fees plus hostel and mess fees if applicable . Admission process to my college that is NIT Hamirpur is easy and will take around 3-5 hours to complete process

Chandigarh-based companies or the startups, and training institutes come here. Companies like Meander Software, Bebo Technologies, Novem Control, BookingKoala - Sales Hungary, etc. companies come. Average package is 3.8 LPA, and 50% students are getting placed. My plans after getting the degree is working in an IT company.

yes they povide placements. After 6th sem, means in 7th sem you are eligible for placement and apply for companies based on their requirements. Google, Microsoft, Adobe, Amazon and many more visits every year. Highest is the PPO of 93 lakhs and placement of 60 lakhs. around 93% are placed who registers for placements Average CTC is around in between 18 to 22 lakhs

Placement Experience:

At NIT Hamirpur, students become eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester onwards, and the placement scenario has been quite encouraging in recent years. A wide range of companies such as Infosys, Wipro, L\&T, Capgemini, Tata Projects, and several core as well as IT firms visit the campus every year. The highest placement touched an impressive 2.05 crore offered to a mechanical engineering student, while the overall average package stands at around 10.5 LPA, which is a strong figure compared to many other NITs. The placement percentage remains high, with a majority of students securing offers, especially in branches like CSE, IT, and ECE, though core branches like civil and mechanical also receive good opportunities. The profiles offered include roles in software development, consulting, design, project engineering, and research. After completing my degree, I plan to take advantage of these placement opportunities to gain solid industry experience and later decide whether to pursue higher studies or competitive exams for broader career growth.

Environment of my college

Remarks:

There are mostly good remarks for college like the environment in kangra Himachal Pradesh is best in the area. There are dhauladar hill ranges infront for college and fress air of hilly areas are good for students.

Everything about my college

When I was applying for engineering, I had filled applications for a few other NITs and state engineering colleges, but finally I chose NIT Hamirpur because of its good academic reputation, supportive campus environment, and better placement opportunities compared to the others. Some colleges I applied to had very high cutoffs and I couldn’t make it there because my JEE Main score was slightly lower than required, but NIT Hamirpur’s cutoff matched my rank, so I got admission here. The admission process was through JEE Main followed by JoSAA counseling, which is the most common and preferred route for B.Tech aspirants. The eligibility was 12th pass with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, and the cutoff for civil engineering here was comparatively achievable for me. The overall admission process was transparent and smooth, from registering for counseling to final seat allotment. I applied just in government degree college , kullu where I opted bsc but this college is far better than Kullu College in terms of facilities to faculty, as well as ranking , reputation. The admission was done by josaa. The admission process was easy. Simply go to their online portal and submit details and required documents. NIT Hamirpur offers more than 30 programmes at UG, PG and doctoral level. Candidates seeking admission to any of these courses must appear for the respective entrance exam and qualify its cutoff. NIT Hamirpur offers a four-year BTech programme across nine specialisations in full-time mode. The selection of candidates to NIT Hamirpurs BTech programme is based on their JEE Main score. The centralised counselling process is managed and regulated by the JoSAA, based on which the candidates are allotted seats. The seat allotment is based on the college cut off and a candidate's preference for courses and colleges.
