Course Curriculum Overview
I chose this course in this college because the facilities like faculty , laboratories and extra curricular activaties are adequate.There are almost 60-65 students in each class and 5-6 subjects in each semester . You will have 2 teachers for each subject. And for labs there are separate faculty members. All the faculties are well qualified and their teaching method is also good. They use both english as well as hindi as medium of teaching.
Placement Experience
After 6th semester students are eligible for campus placements. Many companies come to the college like amazon, cognizant, flipkart, wipro , etc. Highest package is 25 lakhs and the average package is 5 lakhs. Nearly 70% students get placed.
Fees and Financial Aid
As this is a autonomus and private college the fee for the course of Btech is very minimal. It is ?6,34,000 with hostel for 4 years and ?5,30,000 without hostel for 4 years, which is affordable. The loan facility is also provided to the students. There are many scholarships facilities also.
Campus Life
This college has one of the best campus among the colleges of West Bengal. There is a big library for studies with a tremendous capacity of books. Different fests like Riviera, Prayukti and many Technology fests also. This college also provide opportunities in the field of sports and extra curricular activities.Some of the clubs of the colleges are "The HIT Times", " HITIAN INSIDE" , "CSI", "IEEE" ,"ISTE" , etc
Hostel Facilities
There is good facility of hostel rooms. There are 3 hostels for 1st year boys students , 2 inside the campus and 1 outside the campus. The best among the 3 is the outside one named "Ranichak Boys Hostel".There are also 2 hostels for 1st year girls. There is a complete process of hostel allocation which is guided by the college once you take admission. Even the locality is good for renting rooms and pg.
Admission
Students who have given 12th examination are eligible for this. First you have to give WBJEE(West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination) or JEE (Joint Entrance Examination) . The application form is available on the wbjeemain.nic.in website.The fee for the application form is ?500 for general candidates and ?400 for OBC/SC/ST candidates. The application form is generally released in the month of December.
