Overall Good

The admission process is very simple . You have to Appear for atleast one of these engineering entrance a) JEE Mains or b) WBJEE [West Bengal Joint Entrance Exam] and need to qualified in the exam . You are required with having minimum 45% in 12th boards . There are various reservation quotas but for only West Bengal student like TFW[tution fee waiver] , caste based reservation quotas, etc . Every year WBJEE board do a centralised process of counselling having one mock round and 2 real round . And last one (3rd) Mop-up Round . And based on counselling you got your college and needs to verify and take admission in same college. That's it very simple process .

In Haldia Institute of Technology, AEIE [Applied Electronics and Instrumentation] branch is one of the oldest branch [from the starting] of college. So I choose this branch for my B-Tech . Also this college has a very good records in overall placements . Faculty student ratio is very good in this college, and faculty are well qualified . Here you find your faculty professor as not less than a friend . As this college is autonomous, college has it's own schedule to take Class test and Semester Exam .

Here students starts to get an internship in his/ her pre final year i.e . 3rd year . There are many internship opportunities college provide with us most of them are from tech related fields . Some of the companies are Accenture , TCS, cognizant , etc .

In our college one became eligible for placement in 7th semester i.e. final year . Here placement percentage ratio is very good compared to other private institutions . The companies visited every year namely Haldia petrochemicals , Flipkart , Amazon , Atomberg , TCS , Mahindra , Infosys and many more . The highest package offered in campus was of 27 lakhs per annum as per last year data .

Fees structure is very good if you compare other private institutions in India for engineering . And if any financial issue college will help you with scholarship, there are many scholarships in this college one just need to contact accountants official in the college for scholarship.

There are numerous clubs in our college , some of them are The HIT time , CSI , IEST , Nivideta and many more which you will be exploring in your 1st year . There is a library in our college "Aryabhatta Library" which will provide you with all courses books .

There are 3 hostel for 1st Years boys students a) Ranichak Boy's Hostel b) Balaji Boys hostel c) Newton's hall of Residence [P5] . All the hostel are very good with having mess facility . Ranichak and Balaji hostel are outside the college campus and Newton's hall of residence [P5] is inside the college campus . Hostel are very much affordable.
