Entrance Preview

i've pursued my hsc from army public school , ahmednagar with subjects physics, chemistry, mathematics , english and physical education . i had scored 92.4 % where as in pcm it was 95.67% , highest was in mathematics with a score of 98 . i always showed my interest in mathematics field ,so i decided to go for bsc mathematics .

Internships Opportunities

No , internships are provided. As it's not engineering college so chances are less .from my point of view Internship is kind of an insurance and I do not think lack of internship means lack of employment.

Placement Experience

1

depends on the competitive exams you clear example -net , set , jam etc .completely bad organization ,placement no interaction of placement co-ordinator and company, college do not have any influence in what company do to student .job opportunity would be there if you study well and refer good books , follow the advises given by your teachers .

Fee Structure And Facilities

It is feasible , many scholarship are available .The Fee structure of S P college is very cheap which is as follows:-F.Y.B.com Rs 4000, S.Y.B.com Rs 4500, T.Y.B.com Rs 5000. Campus Life

4

Campus life is good , all greenery is there . For extra curricular activities we've science fest , in which students participate in mass . Ratio would be almost 1:1 .Sports is too good .only among the few colleges who have so big and green field for playing . our few students have represted in international panthalon competition .

Hostel Facilities

4.5

Hostel is at its best . I'm a boarder only , We have 4 wardens , 2 security guard .Mess serves healthy food . s. The rooms are furnished with table, chair, cot and fan. The Hostel is managed by a committee consisting of i) Senior Executive - Hostels ii) Associate Wardens iii) Deputy Wardens .I myself live in a hostel and the facilities I get here, I'm satisfied with it. Cleanliness, homely atmosphere, cooperative warden, safe drinking water every facility is provided to us. And the mess is also clean and hygienic, the food is also good. The rates of the hostel are also not too high. In fact, our college has the cheapest hostel rates in Pune among other colleges. read full review

Admission

Search on Google , type sp college pune online admission form . Fill it online , take out it's print out , with the following docents mentioned in the admission form , take it's hard copy And submit it in the sp college admission department . Wait for the merit .

Faculty

4.5

Almost all the teachers are doing research , some of them have completed and have started another . Faculty is good After lectures teachers are available till 5 pm . You can refer to numerous number of textbook provided by the college library or department's library . Teachers are always there to help you out . They are like your buddies only , very humble and innovative when it comes to explanation part . With vast knowledge and experience, the best part of it is you will enjoy their teaching skills . The subject you used to hate was just because teachers were not good and brought your interest but in sp college 's science department is at its best .

SIES College of Arts Science and Commerce - [SIES ASCS], Bachelor of Science [B.Sc] (Biotechnology)
Reviewed on Feb 19, 2025(Enrolled 2023)

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose Biotechnology because it is a multidisciplinary field. We get to study not only topics related to biotechnology but also biochemistry, bio physics, bio informatics, bio statistics, etc. Mostly everything that is essential for future exams is taught during the span of 3 years. The topics of the units are taught in depth but the questions asked during exams are comparatively easy as to what all we studied. The frequency of the exam is, 1 internal exam which consists of both mcqs and written exam, the semester exam for each semester and practical exams for each subject. If u have studied then you will be able to attempt the questions.

Placement Experience:

My college gives campus placement placement opportunities typically after 4th semester, which is the 2nd half of the 2nd year. As my college has a partnership with IBM so the standards of campus placement go right up as the placement depends on the curriculum performance of the student so can't really say much for this. If saying as a stalemate, getting a placement is basically confirmed if the student maintains his/her CGPA of 6-7, which shows the consistent of the student in their field.
