Marine Engineering College

This college is actually good as it has made each student well-disciplined. Yes at starting it was really very difficult as morning pt at 5:30 is a very hard thing but slowly but gets into the timetable.

IMU Entrance. I was ranked in 2000 out of lakhs of students. I opted this college as it is the no. 1 marine College in India.

Courses are good here as completely marine background faculties teach us. Many good facilities of a stimulator. Enough books in a library. Also, workshop facility and a ship inside the campus for practice.these help to get good practical knowledge. Also, the ship contains engine and other parts of the ship for the students to get the practical knowledge.

There is no internship , but campus placement is about 70 percent. So it also depends on the students how serious they are in studying.

Placement as I said it it's about 70 percent. Companies come from the 1st year itself like MAERSK, MOL etc. These are very big companies and takes a bulk of students. And pays handsome salary. obviously very good money is there in this background.

There is the big fest named PERSONA FEST OR #PERSONA FEST. An awesome fest to show all the skills like drawing, designing, engineering, model making, dancing, singing, drama, manager, model, and many sports. Also Manifest is another important fest of MANET.

Fee structure is a bit high , as this is private college , as in my case I have been charged 12 lake plus for 4 years including mess , laundry, hostel etc. It increases by a limit each year , so maybe it has increased to about 13 lakhs by now. Still it's services are good so a normal middle class family can afford it for their child.

Scholarship are given when students have 90 percent on PCM. Also there are sports quota. And loans are given by banks easily m so there is no problem regarding this.

Gender ratio is very different as only 10 to 14 girls are studying in this college because parents don't allow the girl students to select this career. So the college provide 50 percent discount to girls . Also DG shipping gives about 50 thousand rupees to each girl in a year if the girl has no backlog.

Hostel facility is good in a room there are 3 students. And obviously, the hostel and bathroom cleaning is done daily. Many people are kept for this work. And mess Food is of good and hygienic quality. They provide good nutritional food for the good health of each student.

Yes, all are placed and are enjoying their life. Also, it is an adventurous life with the different foods all worldwide. Also, they give guidance as to how to get placement. And if there is Jack u will get 100 percent placement.

In a semester there are 2 exams held . 1st is mid term . 2nd is end term . Scoring marks in the mid term is very important as it decides everything about the students final marks as it carries very high credits. Also if ur the topper then the college provide star on the collar of the shirt as a mark of scholar.

After cracking the IMU, I had to come to the college for admission . During admission There are few process like verification of certificates , medical checkup mainly of eyes. It's good but at least one full day goes in this admission . But still m satisfied.

The faculties are friendly and helpful. Also plus point is that they are all mainly from the marine background. They are full of knowledge and shares experience of their sailing. They help with anything out of syllabus too and supports everyone. Also for the poor students, they give extra attention. So basically they are awesome faculties.
