The teachers are friendly, especially our HOD Sir. They are always willing to help.
The library here is calm and well organised. The space is really nice and the vibe is great. My personal favourite is the reading room.
Placement is quite well. But again, it depends on the individual as how he/she performs.

Course Curriculum Overview

I think ECE should be chosen as it is a really versatile kind of branch which offers several opportunities,anyone ho has Love for Hardware and software bestowed in him/her should definitely chose ECE. Probably the best branch right now. The faculty: student ratio is approximately around 10:1.

Placement Experience

In our college companies conducts campus drives from the 7th Semester onwards. Companies like TCS, CTS, Wipro, Cognizant are the mass recruiters. Last year, our placement record was around 92%. The students from the ECE department have bagged 2-4 jobs each at the same time.

Fees and Financial Aid

During the time of admission, the admission fees along with the first semester fees. The first year fees is Rs. 42000 per semester. The second year fees is Rs. 47000 per semester. Rs. 49000 is the fees of each semester in the 3rd year. And the final year fees is Rs. 50000 per semester. There are several scholarships that a student can avail according to the difference categories and criterias they fulfil. Education loan is also available.

Campus Life

"Unitron" is our Annual Tech Fest which is conducted in the month of March. Our Annual Cultural Fest named "Unicorn" is organised by our Club "CulAkriti" in the month of May. We have two grounds, Annual sports are held there. The main events are cricket, football, badminton, volleyball, kho-kho, tug of war, kabaddi(women's only), table tennis, etc. There are tech clubs, and cultural clubs all run by 3rd year and 4th year students.

Candidates who have passed their Higher Secondary (10+2) exams of the Council of Higher Secondary Education, West Bengal, or any other equivalent exam from a recognised board or university as approved by Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology can apply

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.
