Likes

Main thing that i like about the collage is its atmosphere there are not many students and most of us know each other and it is avery good thing
We have a very good campus life its not that good but its ok for me.
The collage is in a small hilll top and it is very cool to look around from the top

Dislikes

We don't have a proper auditorium so it is very difficult to conduct program
Placements is very low when compared to other collages and it is hard to find a job
We don't have a 24 hrs working canteen or library

Course Curriculum Overview

I wanted to be an engineer so i choose mechanical engineering.we have very good and educated faculty members.we have around 70 students in a class and the faculty is able to handle them smoothly.common teaching method is giving notes and classes

I thinks student's are eligible for campus placement from seventh semester. There is a low percentage of student placement mostly like 20-30?.i will be mostly looking forward for higher studies like mtech

Fees and Financial Aid

I have to pay very less amount of money when compared to other collages as my collage is government. There are many scholarship like egrands and mcm for students and special scholarship for students from backward cast and tribes

Campus Life

Common annual fest are union day, freshman day and tech fest etc. There is a physical and digital library available in the collage and it have a wide variety of book collection varying from study materials to stories. There are sports activities inside and out side the campus. There are clubs like she for girls, cycle club, thinker club etc

Hostel Facilities

We have a decently big room shared with three other student. We have wifi facility in hostel. We have bathroom in every block. Meal quality is average when compared to other outside hostels. We have a very good menu. Registration process is done in time of admission. Hostel is very affordable

Hostel Fee: INR 18000 per year

Admission

You have to pass 12 with minimum of 50 percent mark for physics, chemistry and maths.To enroll for btech you have to pass keam entrance examination. You can find the application form and fee details in keam official site.

OUR COLLEGE LIFE

Placement Experience:

we are eligible for placement from the 7th sem. Many famous and small compines vist our college. Infosys, WIPRO, TCS vist our college. But the big companies take only few student. Highest package was 1,00,000. And the average package is around 4,00,000. Almost all students gets placed from the campus .

My Experience at NIT Calicut

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the EEE course curriculum around 8-8.5 /10 in terms of relevance.The curriculum provides strong fundamentals in core electrical engineering subjects and prepares students well for core jobs and higher studies.The course curriculum was revised in 2023, and our batch is the 1st batch under the new curriculum. however, there are still limited coding ,AI and data science subjects in EEE ,which could be improved. Exams are conducted times per semester and are generally moderately difficult.

Is engineering here worth it?

Students are eligible from 7th semester to sit for interviews. The pod.ai app helps us in making the resume and calculating a cgpa to appear for the intwrviews. The pod.ai registration fees is 500?. Companies such as nissan,infosys,commandtech,bimlabs,gulfasia etc has visited . And the highest package was 11 LPA and lowest was 3 LPA

If you want to be in a controlled environment, focus on academics, make use of some good placement opportunities, and get somewhere career-wise I would be suggesting Amrita University.
