Course Curriculum Overview
I have an innate interest in electronics and so I took this course. About the student to teacher ratio, students are divided in groups of approximately 25-30 and in computer subjects, about 5 groups have lecture classes together while tutorial and labs are seperate for all groups, rest of the branches have 3 groups under a lecturer while tutorials and labs again seperately. All the faculty members are Phds. Term exams come from the material taught in the lecture itself.
Internships Opportunities
I have not yet availed these facilities but many companies offer placements and internships, they give stipends of about Rs 40000 to the candidtes per month, non stipend internships are also available.
Placement Experience
I have not yet availed any of these facilities but the college does offer placements as well as internships. Companies like NXP, Bajaj, GoldmanSachs, Microsoft, Texas Instruments, JP Morgan, etc do regularly visit each year.
Fees and Financial Aid
Many scholarships are provided, only 3 are available for general and well off candidates. These 3 are based on merit and take into account the performance in the previous year. For first year it takes the 12th score into consideration.
Campus Life
Many societies can by joined. Example the main cultural society is "Mudra". It's a multi faceted society with many available roles. The technical societies include Owasp, etc. Each classroom is equipped with projectors for E-learning as well as white boards.
Hostel Facilities
The room comes with a bed, study table and an almirah, window and curtains, dustbin and Air conditioning for the AC rooms. The quality of food is above average. The hostels are a bit expensive as the hostel and mess fees is approximately 50000 and 23000 respectively per semester.
Admission
Smooth admission process, there is no entrance exam. Students can apply with either 12th marks or the JEE mains score. The cut off for eligibility varies by branch but for the Electronics and Communications branch it was around 93 percentile (JEE mains).
