Remarks

The college is pretty good in terms of academics, extra curricular, faculty but the only draw back is the infrastructure.

Entrance Preview

The entrance was through a CET exam.No interview process just a simple entrance exam. I always wanted to be part of policy formation at the apex levels. Commerce ( and it's bachelors degree) can take me there faster than anything else. I love the subject and that I think is valid enough to be the only reason too.

Yes the college provided with internship in companies like nsic, sahara group with an average stipend of 3000 INR

Cultural fest and inter college quizes often takes place.Inter college sports events are also organized.The whole fund was given by college authorities.

72000 per year as it a semi government college under indraprastha University.

No the college don't provide with any schlorship neither i have availed any. There was no need of the loan and so i have no idea of the same

Yes there are inter college events in the form of extra curricular activities. The various societies gave me ample opportunities to explore my inner talent. The facilities are upto the mark.

Exam Structure

Exams are held very often and its quite tiring at the end of the day. It is not chill obviously moving out of your comfort zone and living all by yourself is not chill culture.

Shyam lal college not on my wishlist

Course Curriculum Overview:

Well i choose this course because I didn't got what I wanted. Many students are from arts background who got this course because they had no option. The curriculum is same as school all chapters and everything. The law section is new. About buisness and law and everything. Rest is same. Changes in curriculum is not in their hands. But if they could actually change the accounting syllabus. The timing of exams is normal 2:30 to 6:30. And internal test taken by perspective teacher are according to their time and class. They will take retest incase you didn't attended.

Underrated College- An honest opinion

Course Curriculum Overview:

I really was interested in finance and taxation from the beginning. This course aligned rightly with my interests. The curriculum is based on real world applications. Corporate accounting, financial accounting, company law, human resource management, these are very important considering change in the job market and business world. Not only real world applications but one can also go for further academic pursuit such as a master's degree and research. This makes the curriculum really diverse. Some areas of suggestions would be that in theory subjects there should be practical activities. Just like vestibular training. The time of exams is just right. After the completion of syllabus of a particular subject, we are given 10 days of preparation leave. The exams are moderate and it really tests our ability and knowledge based on our studies.

Placement Experience:

For placements fifth semester student are eligible for placements. Since it is best commerce college. Companies like big 4, google, bank of America, Goldman Sachs, bcg, bain and co., Sbi, paytm, meesho and many more comes. The highest package was 36 LPA this year from meesho for senior analyst roles. Average package is 10 LPA. Most of the placements take place in consulting, marketing, auditing, finance and analyst roles. Around more than 50% of the students get placed. My plan is to take placements in consulting and finance roles after the degree from the college.

The placement of my college is good if you perform well in the process of selection, as I told earlier, the placement cell is pretty active, so you would have a good number of options. I will be naming the good companies that visited my college, they were EY, Deloitte, DE SHAW, TCS, KPMG, etc. Numerous offers were made and I would say over 80% students in my batch got placed in good companies.

Course Curriculum Overview:

In open learning management.. they provide hard copy of books tk prepare whole semester and this is a very good thing because those books are covering whole semester in some books only and there is a v good thing I found... At the end of every chapter they provide summaries and mock questions for every chapter to analyse the weakness and strength. the areas for improvements in the Course Curriculum and Teaching Methods--- they should also provide a mock test paper as per the paper model and latest questions or updated topics with to the point topics The difficulty is normal if candidate is completely prepared...

My view regarding my college

Remarks:

Academically you can choose it but if you are looking for some fancy institution with some best infrastructure and fancy canteen I won't suggest you this college. But this college has one of the very best cricket team and one of our student named Mayank dagar is leading Indian National under-19 team. So I think you understand the impact.

I hdd 90.89 percentile in my CAT 2024 and 93.18 percentile in XAT 2025. These are very good scores and make a candidate like me eligible for top B-schools. The eligibility of the course is to have 50% minimum marks in your undergraduate. The application form, fees, and any other information regarding admission are available on thier admission portal.
