Remarks

College is good but the campus is little in its area. College ground and surrounding is really worse. Remaining everything else is beyond satisfaction. The college experience till date is Good overall. The college campus isn't spread vastly but whatever it own, owes a quality education to the students. It very much strict about the academics & exams. Good placements. Good teaching staff.

Entrance Preview

No there was no any entrance exam specifically for the VIIT college, however we were supposed to appear for the JEE MAINS entrance exam on order to get admission for engineering. There wasn't any interview. I got admission through cap round process. I was interested in doing some technology related stuff so I chose the course.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

Course is really good considering the technical aspects. Not just the course but also the teachers allotted for subjects teach the subject well. But there is little less focus on the practical knowledge as was required. Although the labs are well I equipped n Everything is provided that we need. No idea about the research initiatives.

Internships Opportunities

Yes the internship is provided by the college but there's no stipend provided to the students. And along with this the internship also is not provided to every student. I have not taken part in any internship so I can't describe the experience much good.

Placement Experience

3

The college provides good placement. Around 50% of students get place every year. And 3 lack is the average package provided. However the highest package in the year depends upon the quality of the batch. It may go onto 15 to 17 lakhs. The major companies visiting the college are Amazon, Wipro, TCS, Morgan Stanley, Accenture, etc.

College Events

4

Gandharv and Perception are the two Major events held annually in the college campus. Gandharva is the cultural program & the Perception is the event under which various technical events are held. They are managed properly. And every students gets an equal opportunity to take part in the event. The average footfall must be 2K.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee is quite high. If a student who is a financially weak is shortlisted through cap & aspires to study in a good college like VIIT, he is really gonna find it very hard to pay the fees. And along with this they ask to pay the whole fees in the starting of the year so it great problem. Our fees for general category are 1.23 lakhs.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes the college provides scholarship. Actually it's the SCRUTINY BOARD who provides the scholarship to the students who are allotted the college in the cap round. EBC is the scholarship/Freeship for the open category students. And an another UG scholarship for other category students. Yes the college let us to withdraw a educational loan.

Campus Life

3

The college performance is in extracurriculars is spectacular. Yes we get many opportunities to explore our talent. Also to exhibit something, we holds command & are good at. The facilities program are the various events, workshops, guest lectures. Also the fresher's party is provided for the Freshers on the college .

Hostel Facilities

3

Yes the college provides the hostel facility. Till last year the hostel was quite a distance apart from the college campus. So the number of students staying in the hostel was less, but since this year the hostel facility is provided in the campus itself. Here the rooms are on sharing. Maybe 2 or 3 members in a room. The hostel fee is 72K annually. Not knowing much about the food quality but heard that it's average.

Alumni/Alumna

The alumni network of the college is very good. The only thing they lack is at providing the proper platform a for the same. Yes they surely contribute in the overall development of the college as well as of the students.

Exam Structure

The exams do not feel us tired neither the lab does. Rather I mentioned above the practical focus was supposed to be increased a bit. The exam atmosphere is chill cultured however there's no any compromises done against any of the malpractices.

Faculty

3.5

All teacher are well experienced and highly qualified. Many are PhD degree holders. And the remaining are Masters in Technology (M.Tech) . They are a bit less interactive, though some of them are really good interactive in everything concerned to their students. But the teachers always try hard to solve the issue related to academics. The standard of teaching is always high.

In Kit college their are some rules for placement drive. In 7th sem companies started to visit our college. During my placement my engineering percentage is around 70 and I am able to attend every drive. Once student get placement offer from one company that student is not allowed to apply next company which package is near to previous company. Placement in Kit college in my year is 70 to 75%. The unplaced students have decided to go for MS.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because I have genuine interest in civil engineering. The faculty student ration is 1:50. Our faculties are well qualified they are master's degree holders in design and structural engineering. Some of them are PhD holders and many of them have done their master's from NIT and IIT. Term exams are scheduled after every 2 months. it is easy to pass because it consists of 30 marks only.
