I chose Btech in Electrical Engineering . Because I have very much interset about this course and the faculty members of this college is just awasome . They are highly qulified and very friendly to us . They taught us in very easy way so we can learn many hard topics in just simply. Our college is AICTE approved and MAKAUT affiliated which is the leargest Technical university in the West Bengal

Fees and Financial Aid

In this college total fees is devided into many parts . And semester wise payment will accepted here . All over courese fees was 3 to 4 lakhs for UG . and SVMCM scholarship , Student Credit Card facility is available here . Many well known and reputed MNC were came in our campus for hire us . And good salary package was given by them .

Campus Life

in this campus a annual fest were held named ELIXIER . Many famous artist are came in this fest and performe and our college organise a tech fest every year . Each of our class room is perfect for studying and each of the class room was covered with AC and sufficient lights and fans are also there , unlimited internet facility are also provided for all in our campus all over our campus is very peace full . There was a good library in our college where all types of books are available . Our college organise a annual sports in every year where we can participate . Our college involbs us in various social activities .

Admission

it takes WBJEE entrance examination after 12th or you have to pass JELET examination (in case of lateral enrty) for admission in this college The total admission perocess is controled by the City office of this college which is situated in Park street Kolkata (opposite st.Xaviours college). In this college offers you to complete UG and PG courses like B.Tech , M.Tech,BBA,MCA etc in various department . The main campus of this college is situated in VIP Road Kolkata near Haldirum Bus stop and another campus of this college is situated in saltlake Kolkata .

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.

I appeared for an entrance exam and I got a seat for CSE (data science) course at Techno International New Town. But I filled upgradation form and went for round 2. And I got a seat for Information Technology course at B. P. Poddar Institute of Management and Technology. So I took admission in this college rather than taking risks of going to round 3. At our college students can get admission by giving entrance exams like JEE Mains and WBJEE. Cutoffs for different courses vary every year.
