Likes

The student run clubs are really good and inclusive
Placements are also quite good for a new IIT
Good competition and smart people are there

Dislikes

Infrastructure is sub par compared to older IITs
Little future prospects for fields apart from circuital or core Petroleum
Tough competition in higher branches for grades

Course Curriculum Overview

Faculty are not that good not that bad. Exams are sometimes tough but after JEE it doesn't seem that tough. You have only have to pay attention and study for it a little bit and that will be enough for you.

Google - 1.18 lpm Sprinklr - 2 lpm Uber - 1.77 lpm Companies coming are good and offer internships with competitive compensation. People usually include projects which involves multiple skill sets to show their diverse work views

Placement Experience

Placements are good circuital branches and Petroleums branch which is niche to our college. Most student get into good companies and some go ahead with masters in other good IITs or forieign universities. Highway package reach around 60 LPA

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees is very high. If you can or have annual income less than 5 lakh you will 66 percent fee discount and if you income less than you have 1 lakh you have 100 percent fee discount. Placements for circuital branches rest have to struggle somewhat but there is opportunity.

Campus Life

We have 3 major fests every year and each is organised by the students them selves which involve a lot of fun activities and shows. Each event is usually organised by clubs of the college each with their own twist and flavor.

Hostel Facilities

Hostels are quite good, they are big enough to accommodate everyone and have the basic amenities that are required. The mess is okay with decent food available throughout the year. The registration process goes smoothly and is over quite quickly.

Admission

Admission throughout JEE Advanced. I didn't avail any reservations. There is sc st obc ews reservations though. Ranks for them go pretty high for our college. Placements are good. You can opt for this college.

from 7th semester onwards students become eligible for campus placement there are lot of companies who used to visit our campus like microsoft gives 15 to 20 offer, amazon guves 13 to 15 offer , accenture gives a lot of offer like 30 offer and many more in recent year placement 64 lpa is highest and average of 12.5 lpa they use to offer forSDE role in last year 93.14percentage of total student get placed my plan is to get a full time job as software developer

INSIGHTS OF BIT MESRA

Placement Experience:

From 7th sem onwards students are able to face placements. Comapnies such as ZS, Deloite AB in bev microsoft visa comes here and normally takes 1-3 students. The highest package may vary from 40-50 lakhs and average is 4-5 lakhs. Internships opportunities are quite low here. In chemical enginnering only till now out of 120 students 20-30 got placed including out of campus palcements. I am hoping to do mba after pursuing the degree as there is less comapny visit for core branches.

BIT : A Freshman's Perspective

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible to sit for placements from the 7th semester.A variety of companies including TATA Steel, JSL, JPL, Samsung, TCS and ABG visit the campus.The highest package offered is to Mining branch by vedanta which is 16.5 lpa.In core branches like mechanical and electrical the placement percentage reaches to almost 80%.

Placement Experience:

The placement cell of our college is quite active and provides internship opportunities and pre-placement offers for students in their third and fourth years. It invites reputed companies like Microsoft, Google, Amazon, Accenture, IBM, Intel, Infosys, Cognizant, Deloitte, and many more. The average package is about 12LPA and highest package is about 52 LPA. Branches like CSE offer even higher, lucrative packges.

1.The main thing about our campus, campus placements are so good. Branches like CSE & ECE have high placement percentage about 90. 2.From 3rd year students got involved college internships and programmes that allow them to better placements. 3.Top companies like Google,Microsoft,Amazon,Intel,Samsung etc visited our campus. Placement Experience:

Placement Experience:

The placement of IIT dhanbad is very good and it offers a average package of 24lpa with highest package of 66lpa this year. Also every year more than 70% students get placed in our college. Specially the core companies shows a lot of interest in our college like coal india, sail, gail, petroleum industries companies, mining companies , etc Average package of cse here is 28lpa with 90% placement rate. Average of electrical is 23lpa with placement rate of 80%. Similarly, every branch average package lies between 18lpa to 24lpa.

Placement Experience:

The placement season starts during 7th semester when various companies come to camous to recruit students. Top companies such as google, amazon,microsoft, coal india, texas instumentation, ONGC etc visits the campus for recruirment. Around 60 -70 percent of the students get placed every year. The highest package from the camous was about 1cr . And the average package of the college was about 15-16 lakhs Apart from the capmus placement many students apply for off campus placement for which also tge college helps.

The real pride of dumka

Course Curriculum Overview:

This college is an engineering college and I choose this college for a Btech degree in civil engineering. The teacher faculty is pretty well they teach us and do many practical labs. The student ratio in my class is 50:11 which means 50 boys and 11 girls in my branch. Mainly they all are DR they have dr degrees and they method is simply not like an extraordinary teacher. In my college teacher took all the exams at timely and it is not very difficult to pass
