My overall experience is quite good in this college. Mostly the competition is quite tough in each branch as most of the students are meritorious. As a college of 35 years it should have more infrastructure and it should has got unitary university status by now. As per current status it has got interim autonomous for ten years.

I got admitted to this college through JEE Main rankings. As one of the notorious state government run colleges in Odisha I chose it. As I always have a great interest about electronics subject I selected Instrumentation and Electronics.

Yes, it is too good subject to choose for profession. It has both core and software advantages for placement. In our branch we have to give equal priority to both theoretical and practical learning. In our college honors subject is chosen as elective. For our branch Solid State Device is for elective optional.

The college do not provide any internship but give referral to do internship in different companies. College students are doing great internship in different good companies like Google code of summer, Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd. and in more companies with good stipend. The college is looking forward to give its own internship to students. As internship plays a major in case placement so college has to be very serious about this issue. As college has seen this that students having good internship experience are getting good placement so it has improved its reference of students for internship to larger extend so that students will not experience any trouble in that case. After all its mandatory for all students to do three internships for their B.Tech certificate.

The placement scenario is good in this college. Not as huge as IITs and NITs but maximum students of the college can aspire good jobs from different companies in reasonable amount of package. Per year 70% of whole get placements and most the students from another 30% opt for higher studies or compititive preparations. Major companies that are visiting regularly are Maruti Suzuki India Ltd.(MSIL), Robert Bosch, Aptus Data Labs, NALCO, Vendanta, Indian Naval Services, Nowfloats, Asian Paints, Accenture, TATA Steel andf many more. The average package for a student in our college is three lakhs fifty thousand rupees.

We have one technical and one cultural fest. The technical fest is called "perception". Our main attraction is our cultural fest i.e named as "Xtacy". The "Xtacy" is pretty good fest. The celebrities those are coming to entertain us are well renowned. The organisation is not good as expected from a government engineering college. They are supportive to some extend but as much. All money for the fest is provided by the TEQIP(Technical Education Quality Improvement Programme).

For first years and 2nd year Lateral Entry students the fee is 37400. The detailed fee structure is:- Tuition Fee 12000/- Dev. Fee 7000/- Lab. Maint. Fee 1500/- Student Activity Fee 1500/- Internal Exam. Fee 1800/- Site Visit Fee 600/- Caution Money Fee 2500/- T & P (One Time) 5000/- Transp. Fee 4000/- Alumni. As so. Fee (One Time) 1500/- ________ Total:-37400/- But for 2nd year onward the fee structure is Rs.30500/- .

A full-fledged branch of Syndicate Bank is operating in the college campus. So there is no problem in getting loan for students. The college provide scholarship to top 10% of students based on the marks secured in first year. they will get monthly 400 till the completion of their educational program.

The college have many extracurricular clubs that give plenty of opportunities to students to explore their inner talents. It has robotics club, software club, cultural club(separate clubs for singing, dancing and acting). It has also comprised of sports club and a literary club name "CETADEL". I am the part of two robotics club i.e "ZAIRZA Technical Society" and "Energy Club". I also very fond of playing badminton.

yes I am a hosteler. In our college there two boys hostel and two girls hostel. There are all sharing rooms. In old hostel in each room three students are allotted but in new hostels all rooms are two seated rooms. There are no paying guest accommodations available. I pay Rs.15600?/- per semester for hostel. The food is quite good here. Especially for non-vegetarians dishes are pretty well made.

Yes this college has very strong Alumni relation. It has separate Alumni Association. For different branches separate alumni coordinator is selected to maintain proper contact with alumni.

Yes. We got two internal exams, quiz and surprise tests for each theory subjects and separate lab tests for each semester . Plus there are assignments, attendance and class performance marks are there. Especially even semester routine is very jam-packed. At the end of the I get tired like hell.

Our college got five professors i.e in Electrical department two, in Instrumentation department two and in computer science department one. They are pretty good at their subjects. Talking about other faculties some are good and some are not. Mainly faculties teaching in first year are newly appointed and lack of experience.
