Dislikes

The infrastructure is not that well as the fees are low
Teachers mostly speak in Bengali which makes other students suffer who don't understand

This course will help me to pursue higher studies and to get jobs... The faculty:student ratio is approx 1:10... The faculty members are all highly qualified but some lacks the talent of teaching... The exams are closely placed for our batch and the difficulty is moderate

Most of the well knows companies like CESC offers intership offers in respect to my course...and as I'm in first year I don't have much of the idea now .therecare various projects and outcomes to clarify the tasks

After 5th students are more likely are eligible for campus placements but the main canpusing stars after 7th... 100+ companies recruits such Google ,Microsoft, apple Highest package is 1.8 cr Percentage of students placement is more than 95 I will pursue higher studies

Fees and Financial Aid

It's very cheap as the fees for 4years is 10k.. So it is very cheap for studying engineering None as there has been a lot less time since I joined and there are different types of scholarship programs...I am not eligible for canpusing as I am in first year

Campus Life

Annual fest Sanskriti is of 9days which takes place in march-april And the tech fest SRIJAN will also takes place before sanskriti ... There are 3 libraries so we don't feel the lack of availability of books... The classrooms are all good but lacks AC in some There is tournaments of sports organised for freshers known as U-TURNand CIPPUS... the annual sports knows as ARENA is one of the big events as well... There are no group that is not in our university starting from Sports , Dance to Anime and harrypotter nothing is left behind

Admission

I have given the exam WBJEE and scored a rank of 6616 and got the college with online counselling which happens in 3 rounds...you can get the details in the site of wbjee... I availed reservation benefits which will help you to get your favourite colleges and streams rather than being general...there is no need of such improvement I belief

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.

Like my main was getting to IIT which I couldn't as U couldn't clear JEE advanced.So my next option was to choose between NITS and JU.So clearly choose JU because it completes our BE in 10k whereas the fees of NITs are really high.So as I gave JEE in 2024 my jee main rank was something around 64K (95.5 percentile) and my wbjee rank was 2341 and got alloted food Technology and biochemical engineering in jadavpur university.The process to get into our college is to give wbjee and if u are a general your rank should be within 2500 to get into this premium college....Read More
