Remarks

Life at Ramnarain Ruia college is really fun and a learning experience. Everything in this is College is satisfactory. It has a Very huge campus with a l topclass infrastructure and hospitality.

Entrance Preview

There wasn't any particular entrance exam for this course. As i score well in my 12 th board exam ,biology as my subject. I had the only option to go for Bio analytical science. Hence admission here are based the merit list which is been prepared according to the marks that you score in your HSC exams

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum is divided into three different parts i.e biological sciences, chemical sciences and computational sciences which includes several different scientific sub topics.

Internships Opportunities

2 months of training internships programs are offered to the students for them to gain practical knowledge as well as experience to work in companies. The average stipend provided ranges in between 3000-4000 according to the knowledge and understanding of a student.

Placement Experience

The Department of Bioanalytical Sciences takes an initiative towards placing us in gamut of Industries like SHIMADZU Analytical India PVT. Ltd, Lupin Pharma, Scandev Clinical Services, Merck India Pvt. Ltd., USV Ltd, Ashco Laboratories, Marico Industries, Cipla , Perkin Elmer, Reliance Life Sciences, Macleods Pharma, Elder Pharmaceuticals, Sun Pharma, INDOCO Remedies, Quintiles etc almost all the students are placed recieving quite a good salary package.

The Department Festival - a canvas of Innovative Scientific Concepts by Students and teachers are held every year.

The feees structure here is quite affordable. Its not all high. The fee structure ranges in between 20,000-25,000₹ which is quite affordable even by a middle class family. The amount is quite worth paying as the faculties as well as the facilities are good enough.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose Biotechnology because it is a multidisciplinary field. We get to study not only topics related to biotechnology but also biochemistry, bio physics, bio informatics, bio statistics, etc. Mostly everything that is essential for future exams is taught during the span of 3 years. The topics of the units are taught in depth but the questions asked during exams are comparatively easy as to what all we studied. The frequency of the exam is, 1 internal exam which consists of both mcqs and written exam, the semester exam for each semester and practical exams for each subject. If u have studied then you will be able to attempt the questions.

The Campus Story : the lands of horror.

Placement Experience:

My college gives campus placement placement opportunities typically after 4th semester, which is the 2nd half of the 2nd year. As my college has a partnership with IBM so the standards of campus placement go right up as the placement depends on the curriculum performance of the student so can't really say much for this. If saying as a stalemate, getting a placement is basically confirmed if the student maintains his/her CGPA of 6-7, which shows the consistent of the student in their field.

Out of fright I applied to many colleges like KC , ruia , ruparel , wilson , Elphinstone etc but atlast decided to choose ruia as the microbiology department of ruia is outstanding and the no. of opportunities one can get when in ruia is very vast and the growth which happens in a place like ruia where there is a team/group/society for evey persons liking and ability . I didn't got any rejections as my score was 67 and every other college's science cut off was very low so there were many choices for me to make so as per the credibility of evey college i compared the department and curriculum and RUIA turned out to be the best . IN RUIA ONE CAN DEFINITELY BALANCE STUDIES , WORK AND EQUAL AMOUNT OF FUN DURING FESTS.
