The faculty in our department is very supportive, even if you are not in their good books. Only thing is that your communication skill shall be good. If you are from a bengali speeking background it will be most efective here as all the faculty members as bengali. But English is first choice.

I am in 3rd year hence I dont know much about placements, but as far as I heard the college is good for placements. I have seen companyies like Amazon, TCS, infosys coming here. And I heard someone getting placed for 30lpa, though in our department it 7-9lpa and avg is 4lpa.

Fee structure has changed a lot, for a four year B. Tech course 5 lakh or more can be expected to be the fees, 9,0000 at the time of admission, and then per semester 6,0000 i guess for general. But there is a Tution Fee Wavior Scheme under which only 5% seats under every courses are reserved and that too have to be fillled as anexclusive choice while counselling, and for that you need to have prpoper doucument from the an specific level of Officer that your family income does not exceed 2l/y i guess. In our college there is a an accounts department on the library building 2nd floor, if you are applying a govt scholarship like MCM, SVMCM then you have to go there for verification or submission proccess of the application form. In my experience the officer is very kind he always tried to help in this matter.

There are two grounds used for playing criket, football and other outdoor games, the students are very kind to each other, junior and seniors are like, friends, so it is very clear that the within campus is a good life. There are also multiple active clubs for every type of students, like literary club (Electica), tech club(Geekonix) this club contains robotics coding and other tech activity club, NGO Samaritans, and for UPSC too Samarth. All the clubs organises fests over the year so its always a joyful mood here.

You need to appear in the WBJEE or JEE mains examination, then in the WBJEE counselling as per the rank you can fill your choice of colleges and course in which you want to study in, then as per the rank you get an appropriate course. There are two counselling rounds, if you are selected in a college then either you can lock your choice and confirm the seat, or you can opt for next round, but for that you have to visit the allocated college with the given forms for verification purpose, then you can go for round 2, in round 2 if a better choice of yours can be allocated to you then it will be allocated to you otherwise your prior choice will be the option for locking, still if you are not satisfied then you can try the final or I guess mock round it will be the last option for one to go for. But in my branch it is very much easy to get a seat. If somewhere you forgot or mis-selected your choice preferance then there is an other way, Management Quota.
