Likes

Campus of the college is very good as compared to many other colleges
Vast number of events and fest arranged by the college and clubs of our college
Freedom. We can come and go out of college whenever we want and during classess as well and the campus is also very good

Dislikes

The sudden pressure given by the college for studies
The college informs about labs, assignment and etc which causes a lot of problems as we get less time for preparation
Some of the faculty members who are not helpful

Course Curriculum Overview

I choose this course as it is unique and it's based on the future as my course is based on AI.the faculty members were okay and there teaching was also okay not good not bad but the faculty members are well educated in their respective field and their were exams held timely and it's has moderate level of difficulty

Class Size: 68Course Fees: INR 550000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees structure is a bit much as compared to other colleges as our college charges 55000 lakh for this four year course and their are other costs also which is not included in it. I am just a first year student so I don't know yet about the scholarships and other things like financial assistance but job opportunities are average.

Campus Life

Life in campus is good. Their are many social clubs in our college and all them are run by students and also their are fests arranged my these clubs along with college's support. Anacronos is the main fest of our college which is arranged by our cultural club and then our tech fest,EDGE is also arranged my another club of our college.The sports and extra curricular activities are also frequently arranged and it's fun.

Admission

I directly got my admission through councelling of WBJEE and I was eligible for my course Which is CSE(AI & ML) in my one of the targetted college which is Techno Main Saltlake i took admission in the first round of WBJEE when my name came in the list of eligibility.

Interview Experience

No I was haven't faced any GD, Interview or Written Test for the admission as I was directly admitted through my WBJEE councelling with my rank so haven't faced any of this. The criteria for admission is WBJEE or through JEE mains my achieving good rank in any one of these exams.

Placement Experience:

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

It's my decision from class 12 that I will do civil engineering, so I chose the civil branch, the course curriculum is well and the teaching level is good but the main problem is lab, there is very limited classes for lab, so I think they should improve there.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.
