- Fee of university is nominal just under 5 lac you complete your 4 year btech degree from top gfti.
- Bus facility is provided by university is so like by me . At every after 30 minutes you can use bus service and visite campus,go to hostel,go to pg etc
- Assam university is central university.in Assam only two central university one is Tezpur university and second one is Assam university silchar
Dislikes
- Average package and highest package are not so good.
- Change in food in silchar region rice is three time eaten by local people . You are vegetarian then you face a lot of problem
- University are not cooperative and university is away 24km from silchar town
Course Curriculum Overview
I have interest in computer so I chhose cse branch in btech. Assam university silchar is central university (gfti) . In first year no regular class held my university professor but after first year a regular class held by professor.most of the students in my class come from spot admission ,spot admission is admission procedure which is held after csab counseling for some university. My university firstly held internal exam and after internal held end semester exam.internal exam is held not so strictly but end semester exam held very strictly.
Internships Opportunities
I am in first year in this university so I have not much idea about internship but my senior are doing internship. You want to get in tech company from this university so you would have to do hard work because this tier3 college.
Placement Experience
From 3-4 year you are eligible for campus placement before placement you can do internship in many company. Many company visted in my university such as tcs,Amazon, infosys and many more. 16 lac is highest package of my university 5-6 lac is average Approx 80-90% student placed in university and someone are try for gate exam . My plan after degree to take mtech degree from iit through gate exam
Fees and Financial Aid
Fee of Assam university is nominal 60000/yr tution fee and 50000/yr is hostel fee. You assume that your btech is complete under 5lac from assam university. My university provide scholarship for sc,st Student.if you are belong to general category then you have not any scholarship Aprox 70-80% student have placed in my university. A lot of senior is in internship
Campus Life
The annual fest is held in my university is auskriti in March,aprail month. A central library is in my university so many types of book you get in my university. Classroom is also good ,you have not any personal dress code ,you have independent that you have to wear for going to university. Sport activity is also good , one big ground of football in university and many indoor building,one basket ball ground . University also provide ncc and nss. You have to dependent what you have to choose ncc or nss
Hostel Facilities
Firstly in assam university everyone dont get hostel in first year. When you have from south india then you get hostel otherwise you not get hostel in first year. In single room two people are accommodate and stay in. You get food in hostel as just like hostel food . Menu of meal is good you get egg,panner, chicken as according to rountine . Approx at 100 meter a market is there is called ironmara market . Where you have to get pg. Approx 6000/moth is pg rent including mess fee in ironmara.
Admission
I go my university through jee mains exam. You can find join entrance examination form on google.fee of applications is 1000. Applications form come twice in year ,one applications form come in January and other come approx March- aprail. If you have category certificate then offcourse you get benifit.
