GCET is a great place to take admission as it has good faculty, proper teaching, time for co-curricular activities etc .
Entrance Preview
I took the Jammu and Kashmir Common Entrance Test (JKCET) to get enrolled in this college. The exam was followed by an counselling cum interview where we were made to choose are branches . I chose civil engineering as my branch .
Course Curriculum Overview
It was great even though more emphasis was laid on theoretical knowledge . visit were arranged to construction sites so as to guide the students .
Internships Opportunities
The college does not provide with internship program . But they promote us to take such course under different companies and explore ourself .
Placement Experience
The placement scenario has been good till date . Students have been selected by various companies on the basis of campus interviews . Companies like TCS, cummins etc have payed visit to the college .
College Events
Yes the college organised several events like Techfest, Sports week, annual day, inter college competitions and some other functions and seminars .
Fee Structure And Facilities
Since the college comes under the funding of jammu and kashmir government hence the fee structure is pretty affordable here . Students are also given scholarship to study .

Yes the college has a bank that guides the students about all the money related issues.
Campus Life
As said earlier the events organised by the college did help the students to explore their inner talent . the college did give children extra time to prepare for all this so that they can perform well .
Hostel Facilities
The condition of hostel room is good but the food served is not hygienic . children are provided with single as well as multiple rooms . first year children are given sharing rooms so as to make them interact with each other .
Alumni/Alumna
Till date i have interacted with few seniors of mine . no there was no such platform for the students to meet the alumini . yes the alumni did helped in the development of college
Exam Structure
The exams are a bit frequent including two internal exams and an external assessment . lab work is simultaneous with classwork .
Faculty
The standard of teaching is good here . The teachers are highly qualified . All teachers at the minimum hold a master's degree in their field . The experienced teachers are scholars with several papers under their name published in international journals .
