Remarks

Though the college has less area, it has been used at its best and one of the best college in the city. Best college fest, and fair placements and have good standards in the society.

Entrance Preview

KEAM entrance is needed and no interviews are conducted. According KEAM rank list admission is provided which includes both KEAM score and 12th CBSE(PCM) marks.

Course Curriculum Overview

B.tech in mechanical engineering, which is one of the best branch in this college and only top rankers are admitted here. There are no research initiatives here.

Internships Opportunities

No such internships are provided form college, though all good companies entertain our students. College is funded by KSRTC and hence internship provided there.

Placement Experience

Almost all can be placed who sit in the placements and an average of 3lakhs per annum is provided. IT companies (wipro, TCS, Infosys) are more targeted and companies like Mercedes, Microsoft have been visited here in past.

College Events

Our college fest(CULT A WAY) is the best in the city and has been recorded in limca records. Great football team and cricket team who h give good fight in university games, and all sports are entertained here.

Studying here in NRI quota (₹1,00,000) Also there are merit seats(₹35,000) and management quotas (₹65,000) Top rankers are admitted into merit seats and followed by others

Fees and Financial Aid

The top 3 rankers in each class in provided with fee concessions and there tuition fees are reduced throughout their journey in the college, and all scholarships are entertained here.

Campus Life

Arts day and college day are organized in college which help in developing the extra curriculum of the individual. College politics are at it's best and it can develop good skills.

Hostel Facilities

No hostel either for girls or boys within the campus. But there are hostels nearby which has turned into the SCT hostel and many PG facilities are available nearby.

Touch with alumni is great. Their are many civil service crackers and in companies like Mercedes there are alumni working in R&D department

KTU is difficult but there is good support from college for internal marks and lab exams are better. Good workshops for lab exams and all

Faculties are at it best and in mechanical dept. we have the best and experienced professors. Faculties initiate and promote good college projects.

OUR COLLEGE LIFE

Placement Experience:

we are eligible for placement from the 7th sem. Many famous and small compines vist our college. Infosys, WIPRO, TCS vist our college. But the big companies take only few student. Highest package was 1,00,000. And the average package is around 4,00,000. Almost all students gets placed from the campus .

My Experience at NIT Calicut

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the EEE course curriculum around 8-8.5 /10 in terms of relevance.The curriculum provides strong fundamentals in core electrical engineering subjects and prepares students well for core jobs and higher studies.The course curriculum was revised in 2023, and our batch is the 1st batch under the new curriculum. however, there are still limited coding ,AI and data science subjects in EEE ,which could be improved. Exams are conducted times per semester and are generally moderately difficult.

Is engineering here worth it?

Companies such as nissan,infosys,commandtech,bimlabs,gulfasia etc has visited . And the highest package was 11 LPA and lowest was 3 LPA

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for placements from the third semester onwards. Toward the end of the third semester, companies start to approach you based on your cgpa and SGPA. If you have good marks stipend is provided.

I choose this college because it has vibrant campus life and freedom.It also has good placement records,good pass percentage. I also took due to distance advantage.This college also has good faculty, teaching. Although the campus is small, the infrastructure is well maintained. It has well structured labs.I also looked for cet, Trivandrum but I didn't get it because of my keam rank. The exam accepted for the course is keam and most of the students prefer it. Students can also join this college by nri quota without any entrance exam by giving more fees.I got admission in ece in sctce in the keam 1st allotment itself....Read More

A look inside Sct - Campus life, Academics and more

The main reason I chose this college was because this as under the Government of Kerala. It is held jointly by both government and ksrtc. This the standard of teachers will be better than other private colleges and campus life would be better as well. I have gotten confirmed admission from Amritha University and FISAT. I chose Sct because of the above given reason and also because of its location in trivandrum. I had applied to both Cet and Gect but I didn't pass the cutoff. The admission price for SCTCE is through KEAM which is held by the government of Kerala.
