Likes

I liked the classrooms and environment of college
The annual fest and sports event is very good.
The library is very large and various books are available.

Dislikes

The college is situated on hill top and it is difficult to reach.
The bus service is temporary...sometimes it works and sometimes not.
No placements and internships are provided by the college.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course is good to pursue and staff and faculty is also good. All the professor have more than 6-8 years experience. There is mid sem exams and final exams after semester. That are moderate to qualify.

Class Size: 70Course Fees: INR 50000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees for boys is 25000 for even semester and 28000 for odd semester and for girls it is 10000 and 15000 respectively. You can get or claim government scholarships and for internship and jobs you have to try for off campus only.

Campus Life

The classrooms are good. There is fest named twask which is also very good, the library is also good and various books of the courses are available. There is a sports event of two days in which various games like badminton volleyball chess etc are played.

Admission

I got the admission on basis of my 12th marks. The application form, application fees and applications dates are available on our college site or you can also visit the university site for all the details. There are normal reservation for sc, obcs etc just like other colleges.

Placement Experience:

Chandigarh-based companies or the startups, and training institutes come here. Companies like Meander Software, Bebo Technologies, Novem Control, BookingKoala - Sales Hungary, etc. companies come. Average package is 3.8 LPA, and 50% students are getting placed. My plans after getting the degree is working in an IT company.

yes they povide placements. After 6th sem, means in 7th sem you are eligible for placement and apply for companies based on their requirements. Google, Microsoft, Adobe, Amazon and many more visits every year. Highest is the PPO of 93 lakhs and placement of 60 lakhs. around 93% are placed who registers for placements Average CTC is around in between 18 to 22 lakhs

Placement Experience:

At NIT Hamirpur, students become eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester onwards, and the placement scenario has been quite encouraging in recent years. A wide range of companies such as Infosys, Wipro, L\&T, Capgemini, Tata Projects, and several core as well as IT firms visit the campus every year. The highest placement touched an impressive 2.05 crore offered to a mechanical engineering student, while the overall average package stands at around 10.5 LPA, which is a strong figure compared to many other NITs. The placement percentage remains high, with a majority of students securing offers, especially in branches like CSE, IT, and ECE, though core branches like civil and mechanical also receive good opportunities. The profiles offered include roles in software development, consulting, design, project engineering, and research. After completing my degree, I plan to take advantage of these placement opportunities to gain solid industry experience and later decide whether to pursue higher studies or competitive exams for broader career growth.

Environment of my college

Remarks:

There are mostly good remarks for college like the environment in kangra Himachal Pradesh is best in the area. There are dhauladar hill ranges infront for college and fress air of hilly areas are good for students.

Great Learning, Friendly Campus, and Bright Future

I applied to AKTU, IPU, and a few private colleges. I got selected in 2, but picked this college as it has low fees, good teachers, and fair job offers. Seniors also gave good reviews about the labs and coding help. Yes, I could not get a seat in IPU due to low rank. I was close but missed the cutoff for CS. My JEE score was not high enough. I did not apply under spot round as I had already joined this college. Admission is based on JEE Main or state test like HPCET. Cutoffs differ for each branch. You need to pass 12th with PCM.
