A general Review of Thapar Uniersity

I choose this course as i was having a keen interest in both electronics and computer and thapar was providing with this course name B.E. (Electronics and Computer Engineering). In my branch there were approx 200 students with batch size of 30 each. With every subject there was a faculty assigned The faculties have done phd in their subjects and they were good in teaching helping the students when in need. There were sessionals before mid term and before end term. It was pretty tough you have to study for the exams sincerely to score good marks.

From 7th semester students are eligible for campus placements. Many companies come for campus placemet like Blackrock, Genpact, PlaySimple, United airlines and many more The highest package was of Zomato of 40 LPA and the profile was SDE This time the batch of 2024 the percentage of students were 30-40% but the last year the percentage was 90%

The fees was quite expensive they take 203000 in first sem and it was increasing in every sem. They provide the scholarships. There were various scolarships 1) the top 10 students of each course will get scholarship 2) Scholarships for the students whose family anual income was less than 7LPA Campus placements are good here many companies come with average salary of 8LPA.

The life is pretty good in thapar university. You will explore alot here. There were many fests in campuses Annual fest like Mudra night , Thapar Food Fest and Saturnalia Tech fests like hackathons There is a huge librabry with 4 floors. The first 2 floors are of course books and 3rd floor and 4th floor are of journals and novels and other books There are various sports in campus with inter branch competitions. There are different societies where you can explore. There is a website called myherupa made by students that have notes and assignments and tell us about the fests and socities also. It also tells about the restraunts or cafes in campuses and in nearby areas

Hostel facility is good. There are many hostels naming in alphabetical order. It is till O. There are around 7 hostels for gils and 8 hostels for boys. The food is fine. It is operated by the sodexo. For registration there is a form mailed by the DOSA department. The price for the hostel is costly as they take hostel fees and mess fees differently

It was nice. I appeared for JEE mains and advanve. I got 97 percentile and rank 27000 in mains and in advance i got 18000 rank but i was unable to got into iits due to high cutoff with rank under 700 for iits. Then i applied in Thapar University there was an application form in thapar official website where i applied. The minimum elgibility criteria required for admission to Thapar Univerity UG courses is 10+2 with 60% aggregate marks. The application fees was 2000 rupees.
