75 percentage attendance compulsory which is worst.
Teachers are also not good they cone only for there salary .

Course Curriculum Overview

I choose this course because I got a government seat of this civil engineering so i don't have any other choice. Civil faculty ratio is about 6-7 & students total ratio is about 300.exams were timely as the session is very short in every semester and obviously it is difficult to pass exam.

Class Size: 70Course Fees: INR 50000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees is very costly for boys as compared to girls. For girls there is very less fees but for boys there is very much. Study is not good according to cost. For girls there are very scholarship as compared to boys and there is no job opportunity in the campus.

Campus Life

Annual fest that held is Twask which is 2-3 days show and performed by students in month of april- june. Yes, there is availability of books and journals in library. Sports and extra circular activities are also held there.

Admission

Eligibility is 12th pass with good percentage. If anybody has reservation then it is benefit for taking scholarships. According to my point of view there should be not any type of improvement in the admission process.

Placement Experience:

Chandigarh-based companies or the startups, and training institutes come here. Companies like Meander Software, Bebo Technologies, Novem Control, BookingKoala - Sales Hungary, etc. companies come. Average package is 3.8 LPA, and 50% students are getting placed. My plans after getting the degree is working in an IT company.

yes they povide placements. After 6th sem, means in 7th sem you are eligible for placement and apply for companies based on their requirements. Google, Microsoft, Adobe, Amazon and many more visits every year. Highest is the PPO of 93 lakhs and placement of 60 lakhs. around 93% are placed who registers for placements Average CTC is around in between 18 to 22 lakhs

Placement Experience:

At NIT Hamirpur, students become eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester onwards, and the placement scenario has been quite encouraging in recent years. A wide range of companies such as Infosys, Wipro, L\&T, Capgemini, Tata Projects, and several core as well as IT firms visit the campus every year. The highest placement touched an impressive 2.05 crore offered to a mechanical engineering student, while the overall average package stands at around 10.5 LPA, which is a strong figure compared to many other NITs. The placement percentage remains high, with a majority of students securing offers, especially in branches like CSE, IT, and ECE, though core branches like civil and mechanical also receive good opportunities. The profiles offered include roles in software development, consulting, design, project engineering, and research. After completing my degree, I plan to take advantage of these placement opportunities to gain solid industry experience and later decide whether to pursue higher studies or competitive exams for broader career growth.

Environment of my college

Remarks:

There are mostly good remarks for college like the environment in kangra Himachal Pradesh is best in the area. There are dhauladar hill ranges infront for college and fress air of hilly areas are good for students.

Great Learning, Friendly Campus, and Bright Future

I applied to AKTU, IPU, and a few private colleges. I got selected in 2, but picked this college as it has low fees, good teachers, and fair job offers. Seniors also gave good reviews about the labs and coding help. Yes, I could not get a seat in IPU due to low rank. I was close but missed the cutoff for CS. My JEE score was not high enough. I did not apply under spot round as I had already joined this college. Admission is based on JEE Main or state test like HPCET. Cutoffs differ for each branch. You need to pass 12th with PCM.
