I liked the college faculty and their teaching meathod.

I disliked that there are no hostels for boys after1st year.
I didn't like that the college don't has a big ground to play.
College don't provide good internships and placements.

Course Curriculum Overview

In this course they provide us basic knowledge of all the subjects like chemistry, electronics, electrical, mechanics, etc. The faculty of the college is satisfying and they teach good. There are timely mst exams and surprise tests and also proper regular assignments we have to do.

Class Size: 65Course Fees: INR 65000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

I am from general category and they didn't provide me any of the scholarship and the fees for 1 sem is around 30-35 k. Lower middle class families can't affort this fees i think. I think they should provide some relief to ones who are not able to pay their fees, accordin to economical status of their families.

Campus Life

Campus life is good, College has good spacious classrooms, big labs and good basketball court. College has good buildings. All the campus is new and also new building projects are in progress and continuity. College has a big library with a number of books and also a college canteen with good food and reasonable prices.

Admission

I got admission on basis of my 12th percentage in 2022. That year they didn't took entrance test because of corona. I filled application form on hptu official website and got my name in list. After that visited the college and there provided my identity proofs and all my 10th, 12th marklists and my original migration certificate and character certificate provided to me by my school. The addmission process was very fast and flawless very less time consuming and overall a good experience and good hospitality by the officials of the college.

Average package is 3.8 LPA, and 50% students are getting placed. My plans after getting the degree is working in an IT company.

Placement Experience:

At NIT Hamirpur, students become eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester onwards, and the placement scenario has been quite encouraging in recent years. A wide range of companies such as Infosys, Wipro, L\&T, Capgemini, Tata Projects, and several core as well as IT firms visit the campus every year. The highest placement touched an impressive 2.05 crore offered to a mechanical engineering student, while the overall average package stands at around 10.5 LPA, which is a strong figure compared to many other NITs. The placement percentage remains high, with a majority of students securing offers, especially in branches like CSE, IT, and ECE, though core branches like civil and mechanical also receive good opportunities. The profiles offered include roles in software development, consulting, design, project engineering, and research. After completing my degree, I plan to take advantage of these placement opportunities to gain solid industry experience and later decide whether to pursue higher studies or competitive exams for broader career growth.

Environment of my college

Remarks:

There are mostly good remarks for college like the environment in kangra Himachal Pradesh is best in the area. There are dhauladar hill ranges infront for college and fress air of hilly areas are good for students.
