Course Curriculum Overview
I am a commerce student. For me, B. Com(Hons) has a wide range of opportunities in this world of globalisation and industrialisation. My college holds 5th rank in India in the department of commerce. Hence, the strength is quite high. Each section of my course has on average of 60 students and sex ratio is almost equal. The teacher's are extremely good and helpful. Each year has exams twice a year. And the paper is standard and it literally requires to study from books of different authors.
Internships Opportunities
Some of the companies that offers internship with stripend are Fanztar, Estranger Aurora etc. The stripend ranges from Rs. 10,000 - Rs. 15,000 per month. The posts for which the interns were given internship are Company Representative Intern, Human Resource Intern etc.
Placement Experience
This generally depends upon the requirements of the post and the company but generally the students of 3rd and 4th year fits the posts the best. As I am in 1st year, I am unaware of all the campus placements. So, I can't provide any details regarding this field. I will opt MBA by giving MAT or CAT after completing my graduation.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees structure is really affordable. The fees of my course is Rs. 22,500 per year. As I am not availing any scholarships or finance assistance, I am not aware with any of these. But I know about the placements. The placements that are provided by our college have a stripend of 7000-15000 per month.
Campus Life
There are many fests that are organised by our college. Some of them are Dandiya Nights, Onam, etc and the coming fest is JOSH(Annual fest) which will be occurring in February this year. The library is full of books. There is a variety of books which are organised there. There is a machine in the library in which we can see that what are the books available and where the books are exactly placed. Classes there consists of proper ventilation with sufficient fans and lights with a smart class. In the field of sports, our college has Basketball, Cricket and Weight lifting teams. Recently our college organised a State Level Weight Lifting Competition. There are a multiple numbers of clubs which are run by students. Some of the clubs are of singing, dancing, NCC, finance, placement cell and many more.
Admission
I am Anki Ray, a student of Delhi University (DU). To get admission in any of the colleges in DU for undergraduate course, we have to give an entrance test which is CUET (Common University Entrance Test) which approximately held on May/June & it's syllabus is 95% same as the syllabus prescribed by CBSE of 12th grade. In addition we have General Test which includes Logical reasoning, Current affairs and General Knowledge. The application form of CUET can be filled from the website of CUETsamarth and the fees depends upon the subjects we are choosing. The application procedure ranges between February and March. There we have to fill with all our details which has been asked for along with caste certificates(if any).Besides we can avail various quotas, we have to just attach the certificates relating to the quota & upload them all. Then after giving the exams, we have to prepare a preference list of colleges acc. to our choice. Later colleges will be allocated by1st, 2nd,3rd & Spot round.
