- The quality of mess food is average and snacks is not so good.
- Infrastructure is decent but I expect more because it is the oldest iit of india.

Course Curriculum Overview
Due to my jee advanced rank . I chose this course. 90:1 is the faculty ratio metallurgy department. All teachers are highly qualified and done their phd from IIT and other foreign institutes. In one we have two semester. 1st is autumn semster and 2nd is spring semester. Both of the semester are of 4 months . After first of two months we have our mid semester examination and after that we have our end semester examination.
Internships Opportunities
we have quite decent internship opportunities in our college. Many of then will go to foreign universities for their research internship. Roles offered are consultant,data scientist,product manager,software developer engineer,data analyst,etc.
Placement Experience
From 7th semester , students become eligible for campus placements. Companies are Google,Amazon,Flipkart,Wipro,Wallmart,TCS,Mckinsey,Accenture,Delloite,etc. Highest package is 3 cr per annum and the avg. package is 20 lpa. Around 85% students got placement and many went for research , foreign studies and prepare for civil services examination. My plans after getting the degree to work for 3 years in corporate sector and then move for MBA.
Fees and Financial Aid
Generally 1 semester fees is around 1.5 lacs and our college provide us mcm scholarship. we have many other scholarship from goverment and private authorities like FFE, Reliance scholarship,etc. Those students whose family income is less than 1 lacs get 100% tution fees remission. Those students whose family income is between 1 to 5 lacs get 66% tution fees remission. Those students whose family income is greater than 5 lacs does not get any fee wavier.
Campus Life
Life at IIT is very good. The annual cultural fest is spring fest and the annual techno-management fest is kshitij. both are occurs at then end of january. IIT Kharagpur library is the biggest asia technical library. Classroom are fully air-conditioned with high qualities projectors. We have many sports in our campus like cricket,football,badminton,volleyball,basketball,lawn tennis,table tennis,squash,etc. We have many clubs and socities in our college for consulting, data analytics, coding, business management, dancing, singing, etc.
Hostel Facilities
we stay int lal bahadur shashtri hall of residence at iit kharagpur. we got a triple sharing room with three bulbs, three fans, electric boards. Review of meal is avg. quality at our hall. The hostel is provided by hall management centre of iit kharagpur to the students.
Admission
In iit we get admission through jee - advanced. you find the application form in the website of jee advanced, with fees of 2500 and dates will be finalized by iit. if you are obc,sc,st. Then you get benefits. no admission process is very decent.
