What Students Say
Likes
- All seniors are very friendly, and does not rag new students, and are unbiased.
- Have a good male:female ratio which is rare in engg colleges
- Numerous competitions are held almost every month
Dislikes
- Some faculties will just disturb us to death for attendence and assignments
- Seniors were not allowed to interact with freshers for 6 months, although for our own good
- A branch of the same college is right next to the main building, hence students from main and university share the same campus
Course Curriculum Overview
I have chosen the course due to personal interests, the faculty-student ratio is average and some faculty are not up to the mark, but some are excellent. The term exams are fixed at an interval of 6 months but the internal exams are very random and may be hectic if conducted within a single month. Difficulty in passing is directly proportional to the fluency of the chapter at the fingertips, as the majority of the question paper may come from only one chapter despite having a vast syllabus.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee hike policy has not immensely affected the fee structure as the fees of the B. Tech course remain at 5.5L for 5 years. Many scholarships can be applied which are beneficial for the students. I have no idea on placement sector but it's fairly good and reputed.
Campus Life
Annual fests are Anakhronos (cultural fest) and EDGE (tech fest). Many more are conducted but these two are the most prominent, conducted in March-April Classrooms are fairly ok with all basic amenities Large competitions are held almost thrice a year for every sport. The most prominent clubs are Geekonix (Tech), Ankuran (Cultural), Samarth (Educational), Samaritans (Social welfare), Technotkarsh (Sports)
Admission
The course is AICTE-approved, and relatively more difficult than other software branches Application forms and fees were all clearly specified on the form provided after the verification process of the documents and allotment letter. Any improvements to point out will be the randomness in the exam schedule, not taking exams for 2-3 months, and suddenly conducting 5 exams in 1 month. But the marks given is lenient.
