- The students and their behavior including the seniors.

Course Curriculum Overview
I got chemical engineering dual in IIT Kharagpur. I chose this branch after getting views from seniors about the advantages of the same. There are ample number of faculty always ready to help students . Exams are frequent and the difficulty is decent, but its easy to get through if you are well versed with the topics.
Internships Opportunities
Being a first year, i havent recieved any internships so far but my seniors have got internship offers from various companies. Some of them got really high packages just for 2-3 months and even got a PPO after internships.
Placement Experience
I have not yet reached the placement time because i am a fresher. But more than 1000 offers are made to students and placements are pretty good as i got to know from my seniors. The highest package from chemical branch was 75 lacs last year.
Fees and Financial Aid
The cost to study is affordable and i had to pay a total of 1.4 lacs this semester including the mess fees and the hostel fees. I did not get any scholarship because i was from a both parents working family with decent salary. But there were financial assistance provided to middle class and poor families as their fees is less (for ews) and also scholarships are available.
Campus Life
Kshitij is the tech fest which is conducted in second last week of january, while spring fest is conducted in last week of january. The library is one of the biggest in the country and every book is available here. The classes are nice and there are many extra curricular activities as well as societies and clubs run by students.
Hostel Facilities
Rooms have a table, chair, bed and a cupboard. With two plug sockets and lan socket, there is also a balcony in every room making it quite airy. Mess food is decent and the menu keeps revising so we dont get bored with the same food, The hostels and mess are affordable.
Admission
Admissions were fully through JEE Advanced. People who qualify in JEE Mains get the chance to appear for it. After qualifying JEE Mains , one can apply for Advanced from its website and apply for the same.
