A brief into about the life at BIMTECH

I chose PGDM Marketing as it is their plagship course. The faculty to student ratio is around 1:9. Some faculty are experts from the industry or those with a lot of teaching experience under their belt. There are 6 trimesters in total and each end term exam is conducted timely and is relatively easy to pass as long you cover the basics.

The college internships provided are usually catered to your preference of the field you want to go into. The companies are clear about the roles they expect you to finish during your time at their organisation and this drovides those without prior experience an avenue to expereince the corporate world befor they are thrust into it.

Placements usually start by the beginning of the 5th trimester and the college does it's best to ensure that every student gets placed. The college placement team also provides advice to those who are unsure of their profile on ways to improve said profile and gain more visibility in the eyes of recruiters.

The fees structed is divided into 4 payments made during the 2 years at 6 month intervals. The fees for the PGDM programmes is 1300000/- tution and 400000/- as hostel and mess fees bringing the total to around 1700000/-. They provide finantial assistance in the form of scholarships for those who score a high percentile in CAT/XAT and to those who are eligible for their financial aid programme. The aid is in the form of fee reductions ranging from 200000/- to 700000/-.

There is an abundance of events that go on in the campus ranging from cultural festivals to sports and much more conducted by the clubs and conduits of the campus. All clubs and conduits are also active on Instagram, so people can be up to date with any new events or updates that are happening on campus. The library is a great place to visit if you want books for reference or just a quiet atmosphere to study in.

The rooms are fitted with AC units for the summers and heaters are provided for the cold winters. The mess is open 4 times during the day for breakfast, lunch, evening snacks and dinner. The mess provides veg meals only with the exception of eggs in certain days. The meals are accompanied by a different dessert every day. The laundry service is available in a set format, as in you can give your laundry during a set day of the week, once a week. This is to ensure that the staff do not get overwhelmed by the sheer number of students. The provide ironong services that do not have a limitation and dry cleaning services for blazers and alike.

The eligibility for the cousre was a minimum grade of 50% in graduation. For PGDM the CAT cutoff was 70 percentile. Same for XAT. I found the application site from their official website. The application fees was around 2000/- and I applied during the month of January.

In my case it was a direct interview using the online mode. The questions range from your interests and linking that to the business world and the possibilities it provides. There were also general subject related questions.
