Course Curriculum Overview
I was interested in coding. So I chose Computer Science and Engineering. There are 120 students enrolled in Thapar for this course. And more than 50 faculty members. The teachers of Thapar are well educated and very helpful. There are quizzes, mid semester exams and end semester exams in each semester.
Fees and Financial Aid
Thapar is very costly and its fee is more than other colleges. But students can get scholarships on merit basis in first year and on the basis of CGPA in rest of the years. There is also scholarship available for Economically Weaker Sections.
Campus Life
Thapar has a huge infrastructure. It has a sports complex and there is badminton court, table tennis court, lawn tennis court, cricket ground, football ground and basketball court. It also has a swimming pool. And it also organizes sports events.
Hostel Facilities
Thapar Institute has 8 boys and 7 girls hostel. Hostels have gym, reading room, TV room and a game room. The meal quality is decent. And they are affordable too. Hostels are not too far from the college.
Admission
The eligibility criteria of this course is minimum 75% in boards. You can easily find the form and other details on the website admission.thapar.edu 50% of the seats are reserved for Punjab students. And there are reservationa for SC and ST categories. Thapar Institute has a good infrastructure and decent placement rate.
