Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The course is good. I choose electrical engineering because I want a government job and a good core branch. Most faculty are strict, but some are good because the average faculty age is 440+. Your branch HOD is very good and works for our betterment. Most of the teachers have done Ph.D.s, and they are IITians. One semester exam is 4 months; the difficulty level is medium. The faculty-student ratio is around 12:1.

Internships Opportunities

2.5

Paid internships are not offered by college. Only the core branch got internship help from college, which is not so good. All internships are inside the state. Like the Rourkela steel plant. Students have to apply themselves for internships. Projects that came to college are not so good. Teachers are not much interested in projects.

Placement Experience

3.5

Placement is good. Better for software. Here, the average package is Rs 550000, and students from the 7th semester are eligible. Companies like L&T, Tata, Accenture, Deloitte, and Asian Paints have come to our campus. Students get off campus like Microsoft, Amazon, etc. The highest package is Rs 47 lakh by Microsoft. Students around 80% get placed. plan to appear for the GATE exam.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure is decent, as in the core branch, Rs 32400 per year, but for CSE and IT, it is Rs 70000 per year Fees are very cheap as compared to NIT and IIIT College has its own scholarship called the CET, or CET scholarship. This scholarship is given to the top 5% of students from each branch based on their marks.

Campus Life

3

Life on campus is good. There is an annual fest named XXTASY, which is conducted every year in the month of April, and a tech fest is also held named PPERCEPTION, which is conducted in the month of March. I The library has plenty of books, around 1010,000+. orts facilities are old but not well maintained. There is a cricket ground, a football ground, a basketball court, a volleyball court, and an badminton court. The annual meet is conducted every year and is the ENGINNER'S CUP. Around 15 clubs are there, including dancing, singing, aerospace, technical, and art clubs.

Hostel Facilities

3

Hostel facilities are not so good. Limited boys get hostel, but girls all get that.In the first year, only 105 boys can be accommodated, and this hostel is outside the campus. In the second year, almost all boys got a hostel. You have to stay 3 people in a single room until passout. Meals are good in taste in both the boys hostel named RHR compared to all other hostels. Chicken, paneer, mutton, fish, egg, mushroom, biryani, rice, dal, roti, and le are the main menu. Seats are limited, so if no seats are available, a notice comes, and you have to apply for it through a Google form. is 53, 5330 for and 13000 for mess fees per semester.

Admission

The admission process is simple. There are many courses like BB.Tech, M.Tech, B.Plan, M.Plan, B.Arch, Int. M.Sc, MCA, and MBA.or admission into B.B.Tech, Int.M.Sc, B.Arch, and B.Plan, first you have to appear for the JEE (Joint Entrance Examination) and apply in OJEE counselling through your JEE rank. M.Tech, M.P., M.Plan, and Pappear for the TE exam and apply in JEE counselling. ervation is there for SC, SSC, ST, PH, EXSM, and UT, but not for OBC. OBC.ch fees are 32400 per year.

I would rate the placements at my college as 3 out of 5. Students usually become eligible for campus placements from the sixth or seventh semester, and a few well-known companies do visit the campus every year. The placement cell helps with basic training like resume building and interviews, and many students, especially from IT branches, manage to secure jobs. At the same time, the average salary packages are not very high and top roles are limited, so a lot of students also focus on skill development, off-campus opportunities or higher studies after completing their degree

Students are eligible for placement from their 3rd year onwards. It has been only 2-3 months but I have seen several companies arriving at the college, prominent ones being Flipkar,Deloitte, Xerox, TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Microsoft, Dell and several others including startups. There is no accurate data on how many offers have been made this year, but there are rumours that more than 95% of the eligible students have got placements. After getting a degree my plans are if I dont land into a satisfying job then I will start my preparation of the military or start a new business.
