Best state government college in Odisha.
You can find some of the best minds in Odisha.
Very high return on Investment. Cheapest college with ample of scholarships to support your semester fees

Dislikes

Faculty need to be more supportive and should think of students well being.
Infrastructure is too old and very slow improvements are seen.
College is not conducting any special examinations for clearing back papers especially before placement drives.

Course Curriculum Overview

Since it's a government university. The faculty in our college are all gate-qualified and have done MTech in top institutions like IITs/NITs. The course structure is at par with the GATE syllabus. The rest is up to your hard work to get placements or crack an entrance examination.

Placement Experience

Placements are all based on your hard work. As for 2024 is concerned most of our seniors are placed in core companies like Larsen And Toubro, Maruti Suzuki, and Tata Power. Some non-core companies have also visited our college . So almost 80 students of our branch are placed.

Fees and Financial Aid

For core courses the fees is around 15k per semester excluding Hostel fees. If you have opt for hostel there will be an additional 10k per semester. For non core courses the fees is around 35k per semester.

Campus Life

Every year there is one technical and one cultural fest. Our Cultural fest XTASY is quite popular among colleges where special guests are invited every year to perform on stage. You can find every book related to your respective course in the library. As far as sports are concerned an Engineer's Cup is held every year. There are several Technical Clubs you can join related to Hardware,Software and Design

Admission

Admission through JEE Mains Score. Admission is done through OJEE counseling so you have to visit their official site to get any updates. Reservation is the same as other government institutions, seats are reserved for female, SC, ST, OBC, and EWS candidates.

Course Curriculum Overview:

For csit the subjects kee changing accroding to the trendy stuffs that are currently going on but it was really hard to keep with that when all your subjects are changed and you have o idea or previous year qs to geta reference from. Exams are conducted continously with no gaps and its not a easy stuff students get lot of stress but still somehow manage.

A Complete Review of KIIT University from a Student's View

Placement Experience:

The placement opportunities at KIIT are quite good, especially for us the CSE students.The eligibility criteria for campus placements starts from 7th semester. Many well-known companies visit the university every year like TATA Consultancy Services , Infosys, Wipro, Accenture and Capgemini.The average package offered is around 6-8 lakhs and highest package offered around per yr avg is 50-60 lakhs.The percentage of students getting placements is around 90% plus in average per yr. After completing my degree, i plan to work in software industry and gain more experience in the field of technology

Placement Experience:

I would rate the placements at my college as 3 out of 5. Students usually become eligible for campus placements from the sixth or seventh semester, and a few well-known companies do visit the campus every year. The placement cell helps with basic training like resume building and interviews, and many students, especially from IT branches, manage to secure jobs. At the same time, the average salary packages are not very high and top roles are limited, so a lot of students also focus on skill development, off-campus opportunities or higher studies after completing their degree

ITER Journey

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for placement from their 3rd year onwards. It has been only 2-3 months but I have seen several companies arriving at the college, prominent ones being Flipkar,Deloitte, Xerox, TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Microsoft, Dell and several others including startups. There is no accurate data on how many offers have been made this year, but there are rumours that more than 95% of the eligible students have got placements. After getting a degree my plans are if I dont land into a satisfying job then I will start my preparation of the military or start a new business.

Placement Experience:

So from 7th semester plcements are starting.Various Tech and Non Tech companies are also coming like TCS ,Accenture, Cognizant, Delloitte, InfoSys, KFinTech, Incture, GyanSys, Iserveu for Tech branches. and PRADAN, Aditya Birla etc for Non tech branches. Students also getting offers from OffCampus like RedHat ,CISCO ,Amazon ,Google. From On Campus Highest Package goes upto 12 to 15LPA and lowest is 4.5 but average is 5 to 6 LPA which is comperable. And about almost all are who are opting for placements got placed eventually.

Placement Experience:

After 6th semester the students get eligible for company placement. There are huge companies visited every year for the placement and many big MNCs like Amazon offers 100seats , Wipro offers 200, detollite offers 100, microsoft offers 10, ITC offers 150 , Infosys offers 300, TCS offers 200, Flipkart offers 150 and many more . Every year almost 80% of the students get placed at a good company with a minimum of 4 lakhs . After getting the degree I am planning to get placed in a multi national company like Amazon or Microsoft

Placements are ok but majority of the placement are for the IT and Cse sectors, but there are some core companies which offers a good packages. Around 40-50 % students pare placed in the companies and more over most of the students are up for the higher studies and cracking GATE exam.

See basically you placement depends on you .If you work hard you will get placed with a good package.In our college last year the avg package for CSE was around 13 Lakh per annum and highest was about 39 lakh per annum.Companies like Amazon,oracle Microsoft etc visited our college .After 4 th or 5 th semester i Think we are all capable of getting placed .

A Good University

First of all mainly because of the location it is situated. It is in the Captial Region. I got some seats in NIT-R but didn't go because the seats that i got is all 5 year course and i don't want to study for longer period of time. So the admission process is quite simple.
