The college is managed by the state government and has done a wonderful job in providing the students with state of the art technology at an affordable price. It is one of the best colleges to join for those who want to excel in the field of engineering. The college is more suitable for those in Malabar region considering the ease of traveling.

The curriculum mainly focuses on the basics but at the same time give emphasis on practical application of the gained knowledge. Since 2015 the engineering colleges are under Kerala Technical University (KTU). It follows a new syllabus and curriculum developed by keeping the future requirements in mind.

There are no particular internships. But the M.tech students get a stipend specified by the GATE And also there are various central and state government scholarship that the students can avail. The college also provides placement orientated training.

The college provides the students with attractive placement opportunities. The students are provided with a set of pre-placement training. The main recruiters are TCS, IBS, BYJUS etc. The main recruiter was TCS who took about 50 students. They offer a CTC of about 3.3 lakh per annum.

There are lots of technical and cultural events in the college. In every year there will be one mega cultural/ technical event conducted by the college union. In addition to that, there will be a lot of celebrations like Onam, X-mas, holi etc. Almost every student actively participate in the events. There will be lots of sports events that are organized at the college.

The college is run by the government of Kerala and hence the fee structure in extremely feasible. Each semester fee is around 8000 rupees which is affordable. The hostel fee for each month will be around 2500. In addition to that, there is exam fee which is around 900 rupees. There is a bus fee of 600 semesters.

There are various state and central government scholarship provided to the students. These include e-Grantz, MCM, and Central sector scholarship. The scholarships are mainly based on the caste, income limit and academic performance.

The college provides a wonderful campus life. The campus is spread across more than 50 acres of land with a lush green landscape. The college has 1:1 gender ratio in average. The mechanical engineering department generally has less than five female students in each batch. There a numerous cultural events conducted in which the students participate in large numbers. There are few students from other states, especially from the North-east. Each department conducts various workshops on latest technologies which are highly beneficial to the students. There is no discrimination on the basis of gender, ethnicity, religion or economic status. The students are assured a peaceful atmosphere throughout the campus.

The college constitutes if 5 hostel blocks, 3 for ladies and 2 for men. The hostels are situated at the walkable distance from the college. Bus service is provided between college and hostel. The hostel provides all the basic facilities to the inmates. The average rental for each month including the food will be around 2500 INR. Each room is occupied by at most 4 people.

There is a vibrant alumni association which organise a program on every independence day. The alumni association provides scholarship to the students in need. The alumni association also conducts workshops and job oriented training. One of the notable alumni of the college is Mr.Byju who is the founder of Byju's Learning App

The course spans 8 semesters and there is a university exam for each semester. In addition, an internal series test is conducted twice in each semester. These exams are conducted for labs also. The students get adequate preparation time for the exams.

Admission process is done by entrance exam commissioner (keam) After the initial allotment is published a joining date is announced. The joining fee is about 10000 which also include the first semester fee. This fee can be transferred if we get sone other colleges in the upcoming allotment.

There are experienced permanent faculties along with guest lecturers. The faculties do their best in helping the students. Most of them have a vast knowledge of their subjects and helpful for the students in achieving a better understanding of the topic. There are some brilliant visiting professors which further enhances the faculty standards.
