Remarks

Everything about this college is good, only flaw you may find is that the exact location of this college and the size of the college. It's isnt a very big college but the management is really helpful in every manner until and unless you don't misbehave.

Entrance Preview

Scored 94.75 in class 12th to get bcom(hons) in Dcac. Probably one of the best and most reputed college for the students who score around 95.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

Well life at Dcac is really very good, especially if you are a bcom hons student. No issues of attendance as such. You will get placed as there is a great placement cell. Many companies like Ernst and Young, KPMG, KPMG India, FIS, Urbanclap etc come for placement.

Internships Opportunities

Yes, the college placement cell provides the opportunities for internships. Some of them are paid and some aren't. The placement cell will provide all the information with respect to the internships.

Placement Experience

4.5

The conversion ratio is good as a lot of companies come in Dcac for placement. The average would be around 3-3.5 lpa (batch of 2018). Top level Mnc's come in Dcac for placements and they are coming from a period of time and they do find talent in this college.

College Events

5

You will have 8 fests in Dcac which is I guess the highest in any college of Delhi university. Different competitions, themes etc are there in all those events. Commerce fest, eco fest, NSS fest, History Dept fest, Pol science Dept Fest and don't miss out on the annual fest i.e Ambrosia which is good.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure was feasible as it was less than 30k for 3 years (till batch of 2018). One can pay around 8-10k for an entire year. The fee slip gives all the break ups. 2000 is also refundable as it is a security fee, which is refunded after 3 years of college.

Fees and Financial Aid

Not as such but one can talk to the principal about it. There is a scholarship which is provided by the Delhi University so one can see the conditions of that and can apply for that.

Campus Life

3.5

A good life, a great life, probably a life that one would remember. The people of Dcac are really amazing. No discrimination is done on any basis like caste, creed, colour, sex, income etc. A mix crowd is seen in Delhi College of Arts and Commerce. You will find cute girls and hot guys in this college.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

No hostel is in the college but there are PG's nearby which are almost walking distance from the college. Most of the students, outstation students of DCAC opt for that PG. It was very famous by the name of ARD. Almost every outstation students choose ARD as their PG for 3 years.

Alumni/Alumna

Every year alumni is held and you'll be shocked to know that the famous comedian Gursimar Khamba passed out from this college. If you are from Delhi College of arts and commerce you'll be really proud of your Seniors.

Exam Structure

Computers labs are present. Internals depends on your teachers and batch size. Externals are same for the entire Delhi University students. If you have more students in your batch you'll most likely have projects rather than written tests and vivas. So it all depends on your batch size as well as the teacher.

Admission

Class 12th mark sheet Id proof Photocopy of the documents School leaving certificate Du website has also states the guidelines with respect to the admission. Do check that out. Apart that make sure you get admission in this college. Check that if the seats aren't filled, you can give an application(to the principal) for your admission(will be selected through interview)

Faculty

4

Faculty is well qualified, doesn't acts as a barrier. The best thing about them is that they don't do anything if your attendance is low which is the best feature of this college. The teachers are professional, well qualified, composed and helpful. You should look forward to take admission in this college.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Well i choose this course because I didn't got what I wanted. Many students are from arts background who got this course because they had no option. The curriculum is same as school all chapters and everything. The law section is new. About buisness and law and everything. Rest is same. Changes in curriculum is not in their hands. But if they could actually change the accounting syllabus. The timing of exams is normal 2:30 to 6:30. And internal test taken by perspective teacher are according to their time and class. They will take retest incase you didn't attended.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I really was interested in finance and taxation from the beginning. This course aligned rightly with my interests. The curriculum is based on real world applications. Corporate accounting, financial accounting, company law, human resource management, these are very important considering change in the job market and business world. Not only real world applications but one can also go for further academic pursuit such as a master's degree and research. This makes the curriculum really diverse. Some areas of suggestions would be that in theory subjects there should be practical activities. Just like vestibular training. The time of exams is just right. After the completion of syllabus of a particular subject, we are given 10 days of preparation leave. The exams are moderate and it really tests our ability and knowledge based on our studies.

Placement Experience:

For placements fifth semester student are eligible for placements. Since it is best commerce college. Companies like big 4, google, bank of America, Goldman Sachs, bcg, bain and co., Sbi, paytm, meesho and many more comes. The highest package was 36 LPA this year from meesho for senior analyst roles. Average package is 10 LPA. Most of the placements take place in consulting, marketing, auditing, finance and analyst roles. Around more than 50% of the students get placed. My plan is to take placements in consulting and finance roles after the degree from the college.

The placement is quite good the percentage of students is not same always it changes but only those students with proper knowledge, experience, skills get good placement. There is a proper placement cell for this which is very active. Prepare for government exams (SSC, UPSC, etc.) Go for higher education (PG, B.Ed., MBA, etc.) Enroll in skill-based or professional certification courses outside college

Placement Experience:

The placement of my college is good if you perform well in the process of selection, as I told earlier, the placement cell is pretty active, so you would have a good number of options. I will be naming the good companies that visited my college, they were EY, Deloitte, DE SHAW, TCS, KPMG, etc. Numerous offers were made and I would say over 80% students in my batch got placed in good companies.

In open learning management.. they provide hard copy of books tk prepare whole semester and this is a very good thing because those books are covering whole semester in some books only and there is a v good thing I found... At the end of every chapter they provide summaries and mock questions for every chapter to analyse the weakness and strength. the areas for improvements in the Course Curriculum and Teaching Methods--- they should also provide a mock test paper as per the paper model and latest questions or updated topics with to the point topics The difficulty is normal if candidate is completely prepared...
