Course Curriculum Overview

4

1. I chose Computer Engineering (Iot, Cyber security including block chain technology) because i am interested in Cyber Security Branch. 2. Faculty members are well - knowledged and friendly, excluding some faculty members. 3. There are two exams in a sem and it is not very difficult to pass the examination.

Internships Opportunities

4

I am in first year now. But the Internship opportunities are Started from the start of the fourth sem, that is, the end of the second year. Acc. to my seniors they get internship in some start - ups or many big companies for atleast 2 - 3 months with a good stipend.

Placement Experience

4

VIIT is ranked as 4th college in Pune and 9th in overall Maharashtra. This also states that it has quite good placements having an average package of 12 lakhs per annum. The placement cell of VIT and VIIT is same.

Fees and Financial Aid

Acc. to me, the fees for OBC (male) students is 1 lakh 8 thousand for one year and nearly 1 lakh 85 thousand for open students. There are many job and internship opportunities in Viit. There are also different scholarships given to different category students on mahaDBT website.

Campus Life

4.5

Life at Viit Campus is amazing. They conduct many fests (tech and non - tech), sports and various extra - curricular activities. Viit has a big library which provide almost every book required for studying including for civil - service exams.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

I live as a paying guest (PG). The owners are friendly and helpful. The atmosphere around the PG is also calm and peaceful allowing to concentrate on study. The PG is 10 - 15 mins away from Viit college by walking.

Admission

1. The admission process was pretty simple and well - organised. 2. I gave MHT - CET exam whose application is displayed on the official MHT-CET website (cetcell). 3. The cutoff for Computer Engineering in Viit Is nearby 98.896 percentile. 4. There are reservation benefits for categories like OBC, SC, ST, etc. Overall the admission process was Good.

Other Applied Colleges

Vishwakarma Institute of Technology | Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Computer Engineering)

The MHT-CET cut-off of VIT was a bit higher than VIIT, so I missed the chance to get into VIT.

In Kit college their are some rules for placement drive. In 7th sem companies started to visit our college. During my placement my engineering percentage is around 70 and I am able to attend every drive. Once student get placement offer from one company that student is not allowed to apply next company which package is near to previous company. Placement in Kit college in my year is 70 to 75%. The unplaced students have decided to go for MS.

I choose this course because I have genuine interest in civil engineering. The faculty student ration is 1:50. Our faculties are well qualified they are master's degree holders in design and structural engineering. Some of them are PhD holders and many of them have done their master's from NIT and IIT. Term exams are scheduled after every 2 months. it is easy to pass because it consists of 30 marks only.
