Remarks

The college is good overall in every aspect but only disappointment is their hostels. There's nobody to listen your request. So just don't stay in a hostel . It would be a lifetime learning experience.

Entrance Preview

NCHMCT-JEE by NCHM throughout India for admissions in top hotel management colleges under central and state MINISTRY OF TOURISM. I got 2365 rank in the year 2015 I chose it over others because of the known placement records and the city Jaipur, which is a known tourist destination and is home to many brands of hotels which gives you an opportunity to train and work with best brands from all over the world.

Internships Opportunities

The college provides full support to students for engaging them in an internship at hotels. 4-month Internship is part of regular curriculum. Besides you can also opt for vocational training during vacations after obtaining no objection certificate from the institute.

Placement Experience

4

The placements are on little lower edge in terms of package offered. The initial package offered is quite low but there is a substantial prospect of growth once you join and gain some experience. The companies offer two programme Entry level- Basic pay 13-15k Designation - associate Management trainee - Stipend 20k Designation- supervisor /assistant manager in a period of 2 year. Placement percentage is approx 90+ with guidance and support even after you pass out from college.

Admission

The procedure starts with filling form for NCHM JEE that starts in the month of December. You appear for the exam in April/May as per the schedule and the result comes at the end of May. You get an AIR All India Rank The counseling process is divided into three steps 1st round of counseling; It includes filing an online preference for colleges and submission. According to merit, seat availability and seat reservations you are allowed seat in college from your choice. The second step is to physically visit an ihm college near you and lock your choice if you want to confirm your seat and got your documents verified physically. In case of no show, the seat stands canceled. If you wish to change your college you can again change your preference for 2nd allocation by logging in to the portal and changing preferences and wait for the result of 2nd counseling. The staff and students there will help you out in the best possible way so you don't need to worry a lot. The third round of counseling is SPOT counseling in which all the available seats are made open for all and is allocated on the basis of your preference. The seat allotted in spot round cannot be changed. The chances of getting a good institute are highest in spot round so give it a try. After all rounds of seat allocation, you need to physically visit the allotted institute and register your preference for the hostel.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose Biotechnology because it is a multidisciplinary field. We get to study not only topics related to biotechnology but also biochemistry, bio physics, bio informatics, bio statistics, etc. Mostly everything that is essential for future exams is taught during the span of 3 years. The topics of the units are taught in depth but the questions asked during exams are comparatively easy as to what all we studied. The frequency of the exam is, 1 internal exam which consists of both mcqs and written exam, the semester exam for each semester and practical exams for each subject. If u have studied then you will be able to attempt the questions.

Placement Experience:

My college gives campus placement placement opportunities typically after 4th semester, which is the 2nd half of the 2nd year. As my college has a partnership with IBM so the standards of campus placement go right up as the placement depends on the curriculum performance of the student so can't really say much for this. If saying as a stalemate, getting a placement is basically confirmed if the student maintains his/her CGPA of 6-7, which shows the consistent of the student in their field.
