Remarks

Overall campus life us great apart from some some problems like outdoor ground,which may come in future.Other from that we are blessed with good faculties and facilities.Our collage is top in kerala on the basis of lab facilities.

Kerala entrance,I got 690 out of 940. I selected this collage due to great collage facilities and the collage is near my house.

Course Curriculum Overview

I am studing mechanical engineering.Its easy to follow most of subject except some core papers. Also we will be studing basics of all engineering courses and humanties in the 1st and 2nd year.

Internships Opportunities

Our college does not offer any internship or stipend, but we will get internship from government on the basis of marks,caste and annual income. So most of the stundents get benifit from these as it will reduce the academic fees.

Placement Experience

Well some of the reputed companies like tech mahindra ,wipro and technopark has come to our colleges for campus placement. From each branch 5-6 students were selected on the basis of academics and interview. Most of the placements seats are for technical support and customer care services. The salary range from 10k to 15k.

Fee Structure And Facilities

I got adnission on government quota. So that i have to pay government fixed fees of 65k and an extra 10k as fund. Also due to scholorship from goverment i got 25k fees concession each year. For managmental quota fres is 1.3 lakh per year and for NRI quota it is 2.5 lakh.

Fees and Financial Aid

I said our collage does not provide any scholarships. But our government gives scholarship in the form of fees concession. My overall annual fees after scholarship is 50k, which pretty good for me .But our collage helps in providing loans from thier friendly banks like karnataka bank etc.

Placement Experience:

we are eligible for placement from the 7th sem. Many famous and small compines vist our college. Infosys, WIPRO, TCS vist our college. But the big companies take only few student. Highest package was 1,00,000. And the average package is around 4,00,000. Almost all students gets placed from the campus .

My Experience at NIT Calicut

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the EEE course curriculum around 8-8.5 /10 in terms of relevance.The curriculum provides strong fundamentals in core electrical engineering subjects and prepares students well for core jobs and higher studies.The course curriculum was revised in 2023, and our batch is the 1st batch under the new curriculum. however, there are still limited coding ,AI and data science subjects in EEE ,which could be improved. Exams are conducted times per semester and are generally moderately difficult.

Is engineering here worth it?

Companies such as nissan,infosys,commandtech,bimlabs,gulfasia etc has visited . And the highest package was 11 LPA and lowest was 3 LPA

My review about RIET

I gave three options during my optional registration process. First is my current college and other is vkct and govt college attingal. But the first allotment I got admission at my current college so I took here as because of good reviews and food facilities. I enquired about the other colleges in my locality and my neighbouring places I got very good reviews. I think this college has more development and provides more intership programs IVs and more companies for placements comparing with other colleges. Our college supports startups and gave financial support for startups if needed But this is not in other colleges This is why I chose this college for my BTech degree.
