I liked it's placement record on an average
I liked some of the faculty only because some teachers are too good at understanding level

I dislike partiality between the Bengali and non-Bengali Students mostly
Non Bengali students get less marks than Bengali one

Course Curriculum Overview

I have taken this course because I wanted to do BTech and obviously under budget I found this college better. Here teachers speaks mostly in Bengali language,so it must needed to improve,and I had also observed partiality among Bengali students and non-Bengali Students, Bengali Students get more marks as compared to non-Bengali students,and it's quite unfair with the students... Basically exam slot is divided into two,1st half is for mathematics,and it's 2 hr paper,and 2nd half is for physics and chemistry... Level of paper is moderate...

Class Size: 62Course Fees: INR 100000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

Tution fee is 72,000 approx for 1st semester,and same for other,and next one... It's around 5.5 lakh for four year excluding hostels and extra thing... For students who doesn't belong to Bengal,have no any reservation... Campus selection is good on an average... And on an average placement is around 4-5 lakh per annum

Campus Life

In October month,a pre Durga Puja celebration happens as In Bengal Durga Puja is too holy festival... After that fresher party conducted which was quite amazing... In March again it is about to conduct a fest in which some singer will be invited,last year "Monali Thakur" was invited, let's see this year who will come... Library of the college is not much enough that is to be required as books are not available at the time of need and library closes within 5 pm,any student who want to study at 5, then he/she can't... Social group named Samaritans are runned for social works and all...

Admission

Course of eligibility is 12th pass. We can get form from wbjee official site and apply there. If anyone is not from West Bengal, then we will considered as general and hence we will not be given any reservation. Question level is moderate,one who had gone thoroughly through 12th only can secure a good marks in the exam. One negative point I had found is that exam is conducted only in West Bengal,so it's difficult for some people to go there,so according to my perspective,it should be conducted all over the states.

Placement Experience:

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.
