Course Curriculum Overview
The continuous evaluation process makes the course very relevant and keeps the students alert at all times. The course can be improved by slightly changing the relative GPA system which makes a person getting 80 and 90 almost the same grade
Internships Opportunities
Internship opportunities in the college are quite decent companies like Jp Morgan come to the campus to give internships and big mncs like balckrock Amazon google and Microsoft also come to the campus
Placement Experience
The campus placements for the computer course are the best. And the college has 90 per cent placement. The packages offered are average 16 lpa and companies like JP Morgan, Microsoft, Google and Apple
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees are approximately 3 lakhs per semester including the hostel fees and mess fee. Scholarships are offered to students based on the jee mains percentile or their CGPA over the years. Financial assistance is given to others
Campus Life
The campus life in Thapar is very good and many festivals of different societies keep taking place. The sports infrastructure is good but the coaches are not enthusiastic. Many societies are run by senior students
Hostel Facilities
The hostel facility is above average . The rooms are big enough and the washrooms are kept clean . The mess food is better than most messes and the hygiene is well maintained . The hostels are kept clean with caretakers keeping students in check
Admission
Basis of 12 marks. Eligibility was based on passing 12 grade. The application form is found on the Thapar website and has been explained very clearly. There are reservation benefits for Punjab students I did not avail of them. The MST AND EST happen every 2 months and periodic assessments keep on going which makes the course tougher.
