My honest Experience with College

The advancement of the world in the field of AI inspired me to go for this course. This field has immediate placements as well as master's opportunities. The teaching method is very good and can be improved by examining with real world and becoming more practical. Each year has two semesters and two internals as well. The questions and the whole thing about difficulty are moderate level.

For core branches the internship is mandatory while for non core branches it is not mandatory. Students do internships by self in companies like DRDO , TPCODL, RSP, East coast Railway etc. Many students go for freelancing in non core fields rather internships.

From 7th semester the students are eligible for campus placements. A good many companies like TCS, Wipro, NALCO, HALL, RSP, Cognizant etc visits every year. Average placement is 5.5lpa. Last year the highest placement was 44 lpa by Microsoft. About 500 students from 800 job holders have gone for placements. My plan is also to go for placements.

Here the general Courses like electrical engineering, mechanical engineering etc have the course fees of Rs.32400 and self sustaining courses like CSE and IT have Rs.77000 per year. The college provides a scholarship amount of Rs.10000 to the top 10% of strengths of students according to merit. The students also get financial reservation under schemes called TFW and EWS etc.

Each year the students conduct cultural fest , technical fest like perception, Xtasy and also students have their sporting events like engineer's cup. Mostly in December we have cultural fest. Several books are available in the library but I can't guarantee that every book you search for can be there. There are several clubs like Energy, Aerospace, Amuza ,Arpegio, Cetadel ,Zairza etc.

There are 4 hostels inside campus and one outside campus(2 for girls and 3 for boys). A room holds a tube light, fan ,3 table and one window.Every room don't possess shelf. The food quality in one hostel is very good and in others is average. The hostel fees per year is Rs.37660.

Admission was done on the basis of AIR in JEE MAIN.The application process for the exam JEE MAINS in informed by NTA,all the necessary details such as time,date,schedule is released by NTA on their official website.This is a moderate level examination whose syllabus is released by NTA and it is conducted twice a year in two shifts i.e Morning shift(9 am-12 noon)and Evening shift(3 pm-6 pm).Since my college is a State Government college I applied on the OJEE website for the councelling.The reservation benefits can also be availed through legal documents which include SC,ST,EWS, Physically Challenged and Ex-servicemen.I preferred my college first as it is currently the best state Government college in Odisha.I got an AIR 83131 in general category and 12400 rank in EWS category.We have 8 seats reserved for EWS in CSE and IT .This rank fetched me a seat in Electrical Engineering.Then in the spot selection round I got a seat in Information Technology. Admission Process is totally fine.
