Genuine Opinion about my college

The course I opted for is BTech in Information Technology which is 4 year durate course.It is the second most opted course in my college after computer science. The course provides us essential knowledge required to work in the techworld .The job opportunities is also quite good in this field. The course includes subjects like Data Structures, Design analysis of algorithms, OOPS using java and many more which are essential in tech field.The faculty is also quite good and cooperative in nature . They are very resourceful and help us in every way possible academically. The teachers are also quite qualified with masters and doctoral degree. The duration of each semester is four or five months so there is atleast four months gap between final exams. Between the semester there is also mid semester examination followed by practical exams whose marks are further added to final calculate of SGPA of the semester.

The internship program for core branches is mandatory while for non core branches like CSE and IT it is not mandatory. The students do internship by their own in companies like DRDO, NALCO, RSP, HALL etc.

From 7th semester the students are eligible to go for placement. Companies like Cognizant, TCS, TPCODL, Wipro, NALCO etc. provide job offers on the basis of merits. The average package is 5.5lpa. Last year data shows the highest placement was 44lpa by Microsoft. About 60-70% students get placements and some other go for higher studies. My plan is to opt for placement.

The course fees for general courses like electrical engineering, mechanical engineering and electronics engineering is Rs.32400 and for self financing courses like computer science and information Technology it is Rs.77000. Every year top 10% of the meritorious students get the college's own scholarship of Rs.10000.

We observe cultural fest, technical fest and several sporting events every year such as xtasy, perception,zaizest and engineer's cup. Though the college library holds many books they are not of the latest edition. The college has wifi connection inside campus 24*7 hours. Clubs like energy, aerospace, spectrum, amuza, arpegio ,cetadel etc are the social clubs present to enhance the extra curriculum of the students.

Each room in the hostel is alloted to 3 students. The room holds light, fan and 3 tables and one shelf. Food quality is very decent here though some of the hostels provide food of average quality. The locality consists of several private hostels for boarding.

The admission process was done on the basis of AIR in Jee Mains. The application process for the exam Jee Mains is informed by NTA , all the necessary details such as time , date , schedule is released by NTA on their official website.This a moderate level examination whose syllabus is released by NTA and it conducted in two shifts morning shift and evening shift .The cut-off of the college starts from 11000 air to 800000 air for all the branches . The reservation benefits can also be availed through legal documents which include SC , ST , EWS , Physically Challenged , Ex-servicemen etc.After the exams are over counselling is done by OJEE as the college is regulated by state government and the allocation is done on the basis of jee mains rank by OJEE . The counselling process takes a month to finally allocate the seats to the students it usually has two rounds and the last round is final round after the final allotment students go for their admission process to the college.
